I m riding a stock wave125 currently, anyone one happen to have rode it b4, cos wish know e difference between e riding experience with madass.

Eg, comparison in amount in vibration on e highway, handling, max mileage with full tank?

For e wave:

1. for vibration, mild after dropping e rear sproket, however drop in power n pick very much. Was willing to accept that shortfall since I travel 50km a day. Hence appreciate e increased in cruising speed(100km/h). Was hoping madass could come with better power

2. Handling is great for its weight n short wheelbase. Not sure how is that compared wif madass.

3. Able to make 120km b4hitting reserve. But due to its small fuel tank 3.7lit, makes going to e petrol station frequent since I travel 50km each day. Hoping mad can make more with this

 

Appreciate anyone can share ur advise and experiences

One crucial difference this bike has over other kups is it has disc brakes front and BACK, and its tyres are bigger and WIDER than kups. So i find this bike has all the advantages of kups in traffic jams, and above average stopping power. its my choice if i want a commute bike.

so far I try Max is 3 week no touch my bike, is abit hard to start due to no fuel in cab and fuel line after try few time using E start then back to normal... If u still facing problem you may need to use choke it may help.

Sometimes I start my bike once in 2 months...no problems. I don't have a batterey!!! Actually it's dead... for more than a year. Anyway...

 

Try this...

 

1. power off

2. turn fuel tap off

3. choke on

4. Kick several times (more if you left the fuel tap on while parked last night)

5. close the choke

6. kick 2 more times

7. insert key into bike

8. turn power on.

9. turn fuel tap on.

10. KICK !!! (you should get it started in 1~3 kicks)

 

If bike cannot stay started and die soon after then prob your A/F ratio or carb idle is out. Well, anyway that's another issue.

i am looking to buy 1, but the bike will definitely be very under-utilized... perhaps only used like once a month or so for short distance riding.

 

currently have a 250cc scooter that always has the battery going flat due to battery deep discharge or extended hard to starts scenarios.

 

i am thinking the madass might be more suitable considering it has a kick start mechanism.

i find our dual lamps not very effective, is it possible to fit led lamps if there is such available, what bike shop does that?

 

Not effective? it's a dual 55W lamp IIRC. Way better than any kup with 35W.

Regards on e tyre size, not sure if anyone has tried downsizing e rear tire profile to one size thinner. It should increase a little torque with a little lesser rubber. Though loose bit of that tire surface grip.

Hi MA owners:),

Do u face ground clearance on e left hand side near e side stand?

I measured e distance after it was retracted and its about 10cm. Noticed it after hearing side stand scratched while making a left Sharp hairpin in a carpark. Didn't noticed any abnormality but its weird.

Is this a common problem for MA headlights?

If bulbs r of the original required specs, I'll take a good look at e condition at the light bulb receptacle if I were u

A loose contact can cause excessive arcing and led to reduction of bulb's life.

Just mylittle previous experience on light bulbs:)

Be careful with that... you don't want to fry other electric components.

That's weird... my foot peg touches the ground first. Check your rear shock pre-load.

chamged front and back tyres caused discovered a nail in my back tyre, and part of the tyre was scrapped off by some metal tin or something, lucky discovered it during pumping air. the whole set costs $160 at First Motors, they had to order the rear one cause its a rare 16". took 2 hours for them to get it done, phew what a relief.

how come my timing chain tensioner lose again after 2,000 km, is it the wrong sprocket size causing it or this type of engine always need to adjust timing chain when changing engine oil?

At First Motor, changed clutch cable, they dont have the correct length, modified cut one, $15. Then changed Rock Oil, $18 a bottle, say can lasts 5,000 km??? Never mind, try see first is it really that good? I normally change every 2,500km with the usual $8 mineral oil at other shop.

If I'm not wrong, can also use super 4's clutch cable.
