Tried to respray my Madass previously, but shops were not keen to do it saying that the whole bike would have to be dismantled; hence high workmanship cost.

One shop quoted $300...so decided pass.

almost time for an oil change. any one using semi or full synthetic and did not experience clutch slipage?

Any fellow madass owners can advise if they are using semi/fully synthetic without clutch slipage?

Thanks in advance.

I using rock oil, mineral, change every 5000km. Our engine is very basic, since 1960s. Fully synthetic is overkill. As you know ours is the Honda Cub engine, so below video using vegetable oil also no problemo.

Rock oil is expensive mineral oil, supposed to last 15,000km according to the label, $14 a ltr bought from FIrst Motor, Ubi. Normal mineral oil, $8 or so enough for recommended 2,500km interval oil change.

thanks. though I ride almost daily, I clock less than 500km per month. do you think rock oil can use for a year then?

Stick to the mileage, if hit 2,500km using normal mineral oil change, for rock oil can last 10,000km. I dont care about the intervals, i stick to mileage. Some people just change every 6 months irregardless of mileage, to me thats overkill. I do that for all my vehicles, including cars, no problem.

hey guys, whats ur tyre pressure front and back? My tyre walls states max front 280 kpa, rear max 230 kpa, i ve not come across a bike front pump more than rear. But base on my tyre wall specs, i decided to pump front 230kpa, rear 220kpa.

according to owner's manual it's 2.2 bar in front. rear, its 2.5 bar 1up and 2.7 bar 2up.

all madass no problems. maybe because its a honda cup engine, the maintenance is super low, bikeshops stop bringing in for fear of losing repair and maintenance biz!!!
