The flying doesn't stop with the plane. When you have a stretch of runway and a very fast bike, what would you do?

You would be crazy not to do it. :cheeky:

Stay tuned for the movie.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that!"

Same place at Nusajaya.

Me flying the DRZ through the corners of the go-kart track. Heheh.

At times like this... I feel like giving up sportsbike riding.

The amount of fun and low cost of maintaining and even (touch wood) crashing a supermotard, makes me very tempted to do so.

By the way...the tyres are Dunlop GPR70s. One of the best tyres for a supermotard and cost only $250 a set!! :lovestruck:

Nice cornering shot. I was considering a motard too, but going to KL on it would be a nightmare, so it's sportsbike for me. Furthermore, I don't have enought love to go around for 2 bikes. It already takes me 2 hrs to wash my blade.

Din, my friend was just clocking flight hours, so he flew me foc. Next Sat morning might go again. If you're interested, can go look see. I woke up at 5:30am this morning to make it for the 7am flight. I did mention in a few posts up I was flying and if anybody wants to come.

It's a flight school. I think it's about RM10,000 for the license, includes 30hrs of flying time. I was too excited to get on the plane, so didn't hear much.

It was my 1st time, so I was a bit anxious. By the time I got oriented, I didn't know where the plane flew to. It's very easy to get lost. Because the aircraft is so light, strong winds will nudge it. When you think it's suppose to fly straight, and the wind causes it to drift to aside, there's this unsettling feeling. But after awhile, you'll get used to it.

There was 1 part, we found an empty road, so we landed for a few seconds and flew up again. This is definitely something to do before you die sort of thing. A very nice experience.

Maybe if we all go, can use the drag strip and test the bike. Unfortunately I didn't remove the DB killer.

Had a chance to try Chilly's brother's 06 R6 during the outing last night. Like the bigger brother R1, there's a constant gush of hot air shooting towards the rider when riding.

Jumping from a Honda to a Yamaha will not be easy. The Suzuki seems ok.

Can I ask what time we will be leaving to Singapore on Sunday? After the MotoGP race, there are still a few other things on the schedule. Can we leave after the MotoGP race? I would like to attend my friend's wedding that night.

Seems to be one of the best mounts I can find...

JB how much is this cam mount? Was thinking of customising it at seng kwang saw one of the bikers had done it on their bikes but have to get a tripod and dismantle it then send to seng kwang to customise the bracket to fit blades only. What do you think?

Its about 90-100 USD excluding shipping.

So whos gonna buy that to have the template to fabricate it?

Don't need to have the template their workers create their own design just like those erp brackets that they have fabricated before further more you can use the tripods quick release base for fast and hassle free attachment and removal of your camera. You have to get your own tripods mounting first then send it to them to fabricate the bracket there. A simple tripods cost abt $20 with the water lever at Mustafa. The advantage of using the tripod mount is you can tilt the cam according to your requirements. You can easily customise the bracket so you can still use the tank bag. The unit shown here does not allow the placement of a tank bag when you go for touring.

We're leaving after the race. I'm not sure about the time. I'm sure we can accomodate, but I don't want to rush everyone. If you need to break away and leave early, it's perfectly ok. There will be plenty of traveling companions.

The 04 & 05 Blade is dynoed around 150 to 152 bhp. It's nice to hear Eldo got 154 bhp. Proof that Honda engines get better with age?

Tashi: The flying sounds cool, can I join you the next time round if I can make it?

eldottore: The fabrication sounds great, how can we go about getting it done? If anyone's doing it, I want in as well.

Will anyone be leaving early back to Singapore on Sun after the race?

I might just be doing it but I have two choices

1- Get a tripod strip off and fabricate the bracket

2- Buy an additional cam and use my digicam as tape recording purpose but this optoin is a bit messy.

JB I let you know if I am doing it, the cost is approximately $75 according to a friend while the additional cam is $95 have to see whats best and simple will have to decide.

The new Akra fits models from 2004 to 2006.

Legal S/O is $1,299. Only 1 piece available now. If wanna MO, can be cheaper. For the previous model, I heard someone got it for about $1,050. If you're good, you may be able to squeeze for this price.

Beagle, you lazy bugger, when are you going to buy me breakfast at Shangri-La, the Line? Only 88+++.

Here's the proof of my bike's horsepower

My Blade's Dyno Run

What Tashi said might be psossibly true

I remembered somewhere in this thread Raptor metioned about the Honda's engine one of which if I remember correctly he quoted as saying that

the honda's engine's layout made it more lasting through the years compared to other engine manufacturers

I am beginning to find that it's true after riding this blade for a year now

One thing for sure this bike is meant to ride hard

Like what Tashi had mentioned to me over the phone,

The more you whack the better the engine is

Ironically my bike's fc increases if I ride normally in Sg roads 215km reserve

After whacking session at JB fc returned to normal at 245km

Dont understand why but it happened quite a number of times

Any one here had the same situation before?

It took me about 45mins to post the above

This darn website is really pissing me off:sian:

Dunno what the hell is wrong with it I always get error messages from INVISION POWERBOARD

This happens especially if there are 300 visitors and above

It seems to me that there is nothing being done about this problem at all
