My 04: 151HP & 76 Torr @ TachYong aka Pleasure

My 08: 148HP & 70 Torr @ RaceWerkz

 

Different dyno place give u different horsepower n torr as this is due to the setup and the wear and tear of the dynojet machine.

 

i had a friend own a ZX12 goes to txxxxxxxx dyno for 178HP, due to some reason he goes to ax xxxxx currently under Hxx dyno for 210HP. if u ask me who is accurate. i will say get the factors right first. den u go divide n time based on e formula to get the BHP engine horse power!

04 & 05 CBR1000RR Stock Gasket is 0.4mm which is thinner den the HRC/Aftermarket High Comp Gasket (normally between 0.6mm - 0.8mm) so unless u have change ur cam shaft n the inlet/outlet valve, if not using HRC/AFM HCG is taking power away from ur engine

The CBR1000RR8 feels completely different from the rest of the previous Fireblades 1000.

 

Here is a short summary:

 

2004/5 the most stable chasis of the 1000s lot

 

2005/6 improvement made such as cornering

 

2008 feels very compact, feels smaller than the 600 when riding... riding posture is compact race-like, oh the cornering is so sharp and it seems that you don't have to bend the bike down to corner the kind of speed that I'm used to on my favorite road, ie. less lean for more speed. This thing really feels like a rocket when I decided to throttle it. maybe partly due to its light weight feel. I must add that it is more sporty, race-bike-with-lights among all generations of CBR thous...

 

I also notice the new generation of CBRs 08 is design to put your weight up front during my attempt to hang-off, making it easier to corner with less effort.

 

Not to worry.,,,, no fireblades was ill treated during the short ride

i think still can ride long distance, juz sit nearest to tank den lean on fuel tank. however, aero will be damm poor in this manner.

Oh btw dear 04 & 05 CBR fellow's as i have change to the 08, i still have a magnetic coil for the 04 & 05 models, so if you intend to go some long distance trip but worried that the bike might burn coil (even though with 7yrs warranty coil) can call me @ 96640276! I'm happy to T-Loan my coil around for u guys as a back up to prevent it spoiling ur day @ the trip

Ummm Tashi, the pipe is with me alright but i can't fix it yet.

 

got bang by taxi last wed, so in then end damage the stock exhaust. after that i get the arrow slip on...

 

so currently i have already send to idac for report, claiming against the taxi. now taxi company also need to survey my bike (take picture) to estimate damage against my cost price. after they take den i can began to replace all the parts.

 

so now i am waiting for taxi surveyer to take pic and den i can replace my parts after i replace the pic den i will take picture & upload the pic

hmmmm here is another review for playing straight road.

 

due to the super strong mid range, roll-on on ANY (n i mean ANY) gears & at ANY speed is no big problem for this DEMON!!! The super mid range gearing makes it a super torpdoes!

 

example: u are playing roll on @ 2nd link with a person, u filter out and maintain 100km/hr on gear 6 waiting for the fellow, the bugger cheated and zoom pass u, u got anxious and forget to drop to gear 2 and full throttle! FRET NOT, cause u will be most properbly right behind its tail!

 

i also realise that if u play it like how R1 eat GSXR, using the exact same tactics and u will be champion on the road.

 

more technical terms is that since they (GSXR, R1, ZX10) are geared taller, they would eventually reel the CBR back in during the top end, but by that point the CBR will be out of sight because it's so far ahead, it isn't even funny

RS with skyroof. The dealer knocked a couple of thousands off the price and gives me a loan car to drive now. Also giving me real leather seats, not the half PVC type.

But it also give me a good excuse that i should start some modification on it. maybe mod like my 04 a HRC V stacks n ignition module

 

Honestly i find that the stock is good enough. so i didn't really plan modding anything for the next 2 years.
