haha poor u....

 

anyway, i want to start learning becos lately i become quite tensed n stressed... den i start to listen to Jim Brickman and Kenny G songs to help me soothe my mood. so i wanna learn so to be able to feel at peace everyday :D

 

tink its opposite 4 me..when i start learning piano like 10 yrs back, i sibei stress wheneva i haf lessons..cuz i alwayz neva practise..scared teacher kan..n suan... :sweat:

for me, it was like those yamaha classes whereby 10 students inside a room with their parents sitting next to them..

whenever i play a wrong note, my mother would pinch me on my thighs :cry: so pain sia..

 

tats also part of the reason i gave up...

but now my mother of coz more understanding n loving lar.. last time she was a witch man!!!... :lol:

i m just kinda upset that every instrument i learnt, i only learnt half way lor..

trombone half way

flute halfway

piano halfway

harmonica half way..

haiz..

everything also "ban tong shui" (half pale water) :weep:

played for a yr only. cos it was part of my school subject back in the states. at the end of the year we performed to the whole school.. but of cos all not v good lar... only play ez things hehe

I wuz trying to find his MP3s and compile them into CD

but can only find MP3s of him playing playing POP songs only...

play all the chim chim songs...

ppl hear liao also dunno how to appreciate or doze off somemore..

sigh...

I love bach & beethoven... make me more culture also...

 

But Bach's piano pieces not only very chim, so is his solo violin & solo cello pieces.

 

Mozart's pieces not so chim, but your fingers need to be as fast as blackbird.

A few things to consider:

 

Time:

 

You need time to learn & practice bike, so is learning musical instrument.

 

Can you afford at least 5 days per week, at elast 1/2 hour per practice?

 

If taking examiantion, that is at least 45mins to 1.5 hours

 

Instructment:

 

Do you have space, especially if you are consider piano.

 

Violin may be the option. cheap one cost $80. Not happy, can sell to me at 1/2 price.

 

Also, if you do not like to listen to classical music, this may be a problem. If you do not like to listen, unlikely you like to play those music too.

 

BTW, it is a myth that only young kids can learn violin or piano. i have seen adult success story too.

i agree though, time to practice really is veri veri veri impt... i failed mi examz in march, nvr really take time to prepare and practice mi arrangement pieces. now preparing to retake i sept... guess i'll flop again this time :D

that wuz wat happened when I took my grade 8 for the first time..

no time also cos gotta prepare for my school exams...

flung badly...

think abt 60+ only damn demoralising

 

but for my 2nd time, I practised at least 4 hours daily until my fingers almost went outta control... all tangled up... but all my efforts paid off...

 

guess my score... :D

It wuz the best result I got of all my other grades...

 

it all comes to alot of practise, determination and interest...
