On our 1st Oct visit to the orphange, let's remember to instill into the fatherless children, to trust in Jesus , the rock of our salvation, thru out their lives. This alone is good enough gift for them eternally.

I am hoping & praying if we can have a kick off session of opening prayer/ singing christian songs at the orphange, to start the day. Hope we can do this at every visit.

wish i hv the talent to lead. Those deprived little children can be easily pleased & joyful unlike adults. They'll be very happy with just singing songs to glorify Him. We ourselves will be infected with their joy by looking at them for sure.

At least when a christian biker group do a social community work like visit orphanage, we should have a opening prayer. Before leaving the place, we should have a closing prayer. This will makes us stand out from other social worker groups ; because it impressed upon the deprived children we are doing good works for Him & Him alone.

there's no such thing as talent. all is hardwork/practise.

 

you think those worship leaders/pastors/intercessors cld jus come up on stage and start leading/preaching/praying cause they suddenly felt like gng to the stage and do all this?

 

was it because God tld them "thou have the talent"? NO!!!, its because they decided to give it a try and they keep doing it.

 

Be faithful in little and God will honor it.

 

I was tone deaf b4 but now i'm able to sing and play the guitar just because i decided to give it a try and stay faithful in practising

fully agree with you. There's something miraculous happening to a person who serves Him. He will bless us with more gifts & talents, if we use the little we have to serve Him.

 

I remembered i started a newsletter for my previous church in 1982 when i have not yet become a lukewarm Christian. He really blessed me abundantly as I served Him passionately.

 

I also tried song leading during those years but it is definitely not my talent or calling.

well its true tht God listens to the heart and not the music but if the music caused distraction to others and they can't worship because of tht, then i suggest gng back to practise more and God will see the faithfulness.

 

i wld like to mention abt king David. He was the greatest psalmist. He wasn't the best in singing or music but he was skilled in his own instrument

 

so dnt be discouraged if u dnt sound gd, jus go home to practise more but also dnt slant to the side of "heart is more impt" and instead of ministering to pple, you end up giving them more pain, pain in the ears
