hard riding should have more power... cos battery is charging.

 

Erm, you take out ur seat.. the battery is below it... then you try rev and see when it is charging... last time zac show me... if i remember correctly, no light on is 5-6k, pole light 7-8...

 

i think only ar... forgot liao.

 

Anyway, i dont switch on light when i'm riding in the afternoon or morning... so far so good... battery still ok

Wah.. if I get caught in the day without headlights how much is that man? Don't want to be paying fines for nothing heh. I'm not sure what's going on with my battery but hopefully I can get it checked out at FM later. Wanna come along? You need to collect your bike also right? After that I should be heading to NP or Holland..

 

Will see if I can change to a dry cell first to see if it helps...and don't think I'll be riding with the normal light anymore man.. Wastes so much battery =/

not all batts have the charging light lah...

 

mine don have... lol...

 

first thing i checked when i collected the bike... lol...

nono.. no light on at ard 3-4k.. pole light ard 5-6k.. BIG BIG light at least 8-9k.. on big light, batt drain fast, wear n tear fast, petrol oso fast.. :D

Can I ask, do any of you guys race Mito's ?

 

Or would like to start? Just curious cause we have a few guys in Oz that have a Mito just for racing.

 

No lights, smaller fairings etc

it should have a cranking sound...

 

like metal to metal knocking sounds of the starter motor gear and the fly wheel knocking on each other...

 

loud is kinda vague... for me, i think its not very loud lah... but still can hear...

 

if you can hear like motor spinning kinda sound, but no metal banging sound, that means your batt is flat... cos the motor got not enough power to spin fast enough for the gear on the bendix drive on the starter motor to rise up and engage the flywheel...

is it because of flat batt?

 

try riding without your headlights, just use the pole light, it should solve your prob... i ride at nights with my pole lights all the while... :sweat: i only use headlights when its super dark and not alot of lights kinda place... then ever since, every morning less than a minute can ride off liao...

 

or get your rectifier/coil/batt all checked out...

hmm metal hitting metal.. so its normal for that sound la...

is the starter cdi ? cos my friend have the starter motor gear weared, so i thought thats the source for the sound

is the headlight really require so much electricity?

maybe change a bigger battery or rectifier lo

:cry: Sigh...let my friend try my bike just now on a straight. U-turn halfway, dropped my bike... Bloody sian. Signal light broken, exhaust scratched, mirror (2nd hand Ducati mirror) scratched, handle bar off alignment, steering damper quite loose, riding now getting strong vibrations. Just now riding halfway while turning almost langa kerb. Hai ###### sian man... Well at least he's offered to pay for the damages. I hope it's nothing serious inside man... I really want to cry now man... How sia... Tomorrow at about 3.30 i'll be at First Motor... Anybody else going? :weep:
