it's $680 from biketech21 at dunlop st. nearby sim lim tower. u gotta pay a deposit & then biketech21'll order for u. and it'll come in with the regular shippings in ard 2-3weeks. one of my aprilia frend ordered liao... coming in next week.

and inspection can be done at most inspection centers... costs ard $50+.

been busy working eh.. attachment sucks.. nearly sliced off my finger e other day.. end up cut super deep.. mc 2 days.. zzz.. now back in office.. cant even ride.. haha finger takes more than a week to heal according to doc.. cant squeeze clutch.. heh.. now either get lifts from fren, ron send, or ride e x9.. lolx..

be more careful gal... human parts are not like motorcycle parts can buy spares eh... haha joking... tcare & get well soon! let the wound air dry instead of bandaging up... heals faster this way!

Jonathan my suggesstion is for u to find a recognised mech n do a valve wash(he can check it for u if it is good), service carb n tuning. Better to spend $38 to let a good mech do these things for u rather than u/other as an beginner try to diy n destroy ur engine insteps....

where you do that for $38?

 

Just got my bike, not the best of shape, the fairings are half f*cked too.

 

a) Need to weld side stand (bike leans at 45 deg angle )

 

b) Need to service valve, carb and tune ($38? how long will it take?)

 

c) Respray whole bike plus patching with 1 color (quoted $300 @ Hua Chin, any else?)

 

d) Gears keep on slip (OMG this is so farking expensive list already)

think dannis referred to first motor? think gonna need at least a couple of hours if he's not bz....

haha... changed out to the new reedcage & there's no more puff puff sound when the throttle is slowly being eased open. seemed dat my previous boyeseen reeds are not installed properly as the stock reeds are 8petals & the boyeseen reeds are 4 petals. some trimmings are not done resulting in the petals not closing properly. anyway feels alot better in acceleration now but dunno the top yet.

 

vectorone mech had tuned the carb for me but it's still too rich, bogs too much & rpm raises very slowly, though there's a significant increase of torque & punch compared to last time. i've since tuned down a little... gonna need sometime to find out the setting dat works for me.

 

and the blardy clutch cable broke on my way to work yest... heng i'm juz turning into small rd & light traffic. was looking out for traffic lights & wit alot of guessing, made it to my work place safely... phew!

wad i did was i took out the whole cable, welded a nut to the cable end where the die broke off & voila! it probably saved me from a towing charge & a bus home....

 

where to buy the clutch cable? heard it costs like $90+ for a original one? i think i read up in the forum be4 dat super4 ones'll work well... can anybody verify it?

thanks for ur concern bro... but i've already done the $38 servicing juz before cny at 1st motor. the exhaust valve, carb jettings(150 main jet) & the piston compression oso checks out well.

and done a $110 servicing package at racewerks which includes flushing out the coolant, took apart to clear & clean the engine's internal, replaced the gaskets, etc. and heng my piston's still in gd condition wit no signs of seizure marks or abnormal wear.

and i change the mixture screw 1/4 turns at a time, and ride for a half a day to see if i liked the settings. seemed dat if the engine accelerates smoothly wit no boggings, there's no torque & have to use choke in the morning or cold days. if the engine had power & torque when accelerating, the engine bogs & the rpm raises very slowly. and the carb might get choked after i parked the bike.

hmmz i completed (A) Argon Welding of my side stand~

 

still not the best result, would go back and weld it again with a plate at the end tip of the side stand.

 

(B) will be done on Monday, doubt it will include servicing of valve, so i will bring my manual down too.

 

© that I can get race fairings now...

 

(D) Cos I always kick downshifting like shifting to neutral (the amt of force used) i think not enuff.. but happen only to 2nd and 3rd gears leh..

 

(E) *New* Front Suspension too hard.. Hvae to change the oil i suppose..

 

(F) Tyres (Currently Pirellis) got to change to GPR70.. anywhere cheaper den $270 with installation?

bro, for (B) i done mine at $38 first motors, did carb washing, exhaust valve cleaning & checked the piston compression.

for (D) same happened to me too, was using gearbox oil and shifting of the 1st few gears are extremely hard, especially when stopped and searching for neutral. it required quite some strength to kick up or down! but after i changed to motul factoryline 10w40, shifting becomes silky smooth & light! but after a month usage it's back to harsh shifting! or maybe the clutch linings are worned out or damaged?

 

 

and i've change my clutch cable to a original honda one meant for pgm4 nsr250. knn kanna tok like a carrot head @ $48!

and for mitos those tzr250 cables (too short for mine)should fitted fine. so next time should ur clutch cable broke u noe where to ask for liao
