Anybody know the best way to lube the throttle?

 

After a few days riding in the rain my throttle's not smooth anymore.

Now it's like I got a free cruise control installed whereby the throttle stays stuck at the position you twist it to instead of reverting back to close.

 

Tried dropping a few drops of lube between the grip and bar and twisting it a few times but only succeeded in flooding the engine.

Now I can't start my bike.

lube the throttle cable...not the throttle grip machanism... my ex-m400's throttle grip used very rough as well...then the mech told me justb drop a few drops of lube DOWN the throttle cable housing...(after he showed me...smooth as silk!) it's a simple mechanical peice of metal wire so lubing the cable should solve the problem.

 

there is no pt lubing yr throttle grip mechanism...it'll probably help very minimum only.. cause main friction is the cable against the housing.

 

IF....it doesn't solve yr problem..chances r u got to change yr throttle cable because it's bent somewhere...should cost abt 50-70 bucks...but u can buy non-orig one la...no diff coz it's just a piece of wire.period.

Hi guys, finally collected my bike. man running in the new piston is mentally torturing...there u r on a bike capable of ultimate fun and exhilaration and u r limited to travelling not more than 80km/h and keep revs below 8k for 1500km !! i am currently forced to be a road hogger even on the left lane on highways....

 

corona: i'm scheduled for work 12-11pm on e 30th unfortunately... if the program goes into the nite...u all hav supper planned or sthm i would be able to drop by ! i would love to..

 

azahael : sorry bro i'm not a very technical person...i also don't spend that much buying aftermarket parts(other than ah boy signals ) for my bikes so i cant really answer yr enquries...i guess most of us here are in my shoes as well ! aniway bro is yrs the "amjah" mito with arrows? saw yr bike parked...lovely !

 

smokesail368: hi bro, technically it's the same engine.abeit a SLIGHTLY detuned version.. major parts r definitely the same.. for one i know the cylinder block+piston etc are both the same..

The minimum requirements are a full face helmet, gloves, jeans, boots(army boots will do) and a leather jacket with protections..

Well, leather jacket or those jackets that looked like a half version of the full suit? I hope those also can. Well, army boots offers good protection but changing gears not as fluent cuz of it's thickness. Well, hope to be on the track when i get those things, and now my Mito7 is unfit for track, must do full servicing, tuning and change piston rings.
