http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_discharge_ignition --- cdi = Capacitor discharge ignition....the aftermarket cdi help in better combustion at high rev....the data say max 20k rpm...which is super dope for me...but bare in mind high rev/rpm equal to faster wear n tear...but we cld always ride per normal even if we got aftermarket cdi install....the advantage using upgraded ignition is better throttle respone n if once in e blue moon...can clear carbon n smoke other motorist...muhahaha

 

 

if u're talking about increasin ur hp....cdi is one of them beside just exhaust n carb...portin or big bore kit all is way troublesome n it falls under major mods...anyway am riding an old mito....so changin/upgrade the electronic part is wise ting to do...provided the ignition system is affordable la....sadly i've not receive any reply yet from zeeltronic...
