Hello guys, My scooter some times when start off, it sound very noisy ( like somethings jam on my engine ) then when switch off, the engine is still running. Takes abt few minutes for it to shut off.

Usually it only happen when the engine is cold. Any solutions ? i have already put some DW-40 oil to the start button , but still doesn't help. When send to bike shop, they say very difficult to check since my problem is on and off.

Can anybody advise ?

2 stroke engine ? overheated. do some carbon cleaning. What happen is when the engine overheated, your carbon deposit on top of the piston/top cylinder is lighted up. This in turn will ignite fuel under compression without spark from the plug. Less likely to happen on 4 stroke engine, possible but less likely due to very much lesser carbon build up.

If this doesnt really bother u, then just clutch in put highest gear and release clutch to kill engine.

That was quick, thanks. Mine is 4 stroke . Auto. This problem happen only when noisy sound is heard when started engine. But as you move on to certain distance, the noise will disappear.

diy is always possible, as long as you have the place, time and tool. U need to be quite well versed on engine as for 4 stroke it can be quite complicated when you need to take out top cylinder.
