Help: My R6'04 got strange starting problem

My R6 suddenly got starting problem today.

 

I find it very strange, my bike was at neutral gear but the indicator was not lighted and I can't start it.

 

I tried clutch in and start but can't also. b4 I decided to push start, i kick off my side stand and pull in the clutch and managed to start it.

 

Any of the R6 rider face this problem b4? What was the cause?

Some bikes will not start in engaged gear and side stand down. When you kick up the side stand and pull in the clutch and you can start means that most probably your neutral sensor is the the problem.

 

My s4 has this similar safety feature.

 

side stand down, neutral on can start.

side stand down, neutral off cannot start.

side stand down, neutral off, clutch in cannot start.

side stand up, neutral off, clutch in can start.

yep agree with joajas..probably ur neutral sensor.

if it's like that means the only way to warm up my bike is to sit on it lor. very cumbersome leh.

I have the fault. The neutral cable was accidentally disconnect when I wash my bike. haha...
