I just bought a 2006 DRZ400SM where the trip meter doesn't work. The odometer is at the maximum 99,999km.

Googling around the internet it turns out the DRZ's trip meter won't count if the odometer won't count. And since the odometer is maxed and cannot continue, my trip meter doesn't work as well.

Anyone knows how to reset the odometer on the stock DRZ?

In the first place, is your tripmeter always in 0 now or stuck at 99999?

Googled and found this abt the tripmeter, not sure if it works...

1) press the SET TRIP button to reset the Trip Meter

2) hold the SET - TIME/TRIP button for 3 seconds

3) use ADJUST buttons to select desired coefficient

4) press SET - TIME/TRIP to motor on!

I not riding DRZ though so can't offer much assistance.

Thanks, I asked a bit around and seems like it's probably the circuit board for just the Trip Meter's counter is fried.

Trip meter will always stay at 0, even though I can manually adjust it higher with the plus and minus buttons, but riding will not increase the number on the trip meter.
