How to buy a bike in singapore

This thread i'm making is to help people like me clarify how to buy a bike in Singapore. Just so you know, i just passed my Class 2B (no big deal here for some of youi guess) and so i want to get a bike real soon. But thing is i scared we all kena cheated by the uncles cause we're sin cao. In fact, i heard from my friends that the first bike usually will kena makan one.

 

So my thread here is for people who have already bought their bike(s) to hellp people like me get one soon. Like what to ask about the bike (engine, COE, how much etc etc yada yada).

 

I swear my balls i would not know if the engine's good or bad even if i heard it running... Yes, i'm that noob. And just for your info, i'm planning to get a KR. Somehow i like its design basically, i like fairing bikes.

hey bro ... i suggest you find an experienced friend to follow you and look for bike.

aiya. wrong section or not i dont think its quite the matter right? okok. yeah i'm bringing one of my friend along but he rides an RXZ. knows nuts about KRs... but i got ask my frens what to ask here and there la but still not that confident lei..

i think most importantly is the bike that matters.

u woundn't want to pay cheap for a machine that spoil here spoil there right?

for sportsbike [fairing bike], dun look for too good outlook.

as this is e 1st bike, prepare to let it touch the floor.

and bike like kr/sp, quite hard to find those that say

" nvr ever touch the floor b4 "

so, test ride the bike, free hand, make sure allignment is straight.

drag the gear, feel the power.

make sure u check for wear and tear also.

things like tyre, break, light, IU etc.

Any other bikes? Go and look into their forum and ask for more details about everything BUT remember not to ask those "weird" questions.. Like how did that sound came about and why this and that WHEN it has NOT YET happen.. got it?
