im currently considering on getting a first hand gilera st200.

and i was wondering if i changed to a legal aftermarket pipe and aftermarket airfilter, will my 1year/10000km warranty be voided?

Not sure about scooter but my previous Car warranty voided because of a aftermaket air filter .. Better call Piaggio to ask ... Best is to stay stock like me and ride for 10k km before change to aftermarket parts then only u can "understand" the bike and feel the diff between both stock and aftermarket parts ...btw me riding a new ST 200

Need some advice on my stock st200

 

For every cold start, is it needed for me to throttle to start the engine? Cos w/o throttling i can start at 3rd attempt? Normal or unusual?

 

Yoy got the Same case like me , yeah 2-3 attempt to strat the engine without twisting the throtter .. Very normal to me ..

Me too got a new ST 200 last month , not yet hit 1000k so still running in , ASPoon told me not to exceed 70 km/h while running in new engine .. i follow the rule for just 1 day , now going at around 85km/H I means how the hell going to ride not more than 70km/h ???

For the servcing will be the first 1000km (1st servicing) , follow by the 2nd one at around 2500 km - 3000km ... Bro I wounld suggest you go into facebook and search for Gilera SG most of the questions will be answered .. Now a days Forum is like a ghost town ...

Anyone can share the different with after market exhaust eg GPR or SBK compare with the original pipe? The advantage and the disadvantage? Thanks

I've got a st200 runner been riding for awhile but lately it has diffculty starting. usually it start the first try but now 4-5time sometimes more. I change my spark plage and tune the idle timer. What is happening and if repair how much will it cost?

You can try throttle little bit more for cold starts. It's not a small problem...u can also bring it to me for a free check!

why on earth my bike like drinking petrol... 7 litres can go abt 130km only... changed to simota air filter... do jetting two times, but second time do become much worst my fc... any pro out there can recommend a shop who REALLY knows how to re tune my carb????????????

yuh boy, i went to ask, got a shock... 2 pcs of plastics costs so much.

and furthermore it's only the outer pcs, there is suppose to be additional inner covers as well for $19 a piece or a pair!

Total would be close to $400!!!

 

I'd rather spend this money on more worthwhile upgrades, but of cos its different story if kena small lottery

hey.. do u all experience the coolant leaking out?..

 

chance upon this website while looking for the coolant compartment for the runner. Looks pretty useful if you wish to know the rough costs of replacing any parts of your scoot. But its in UK pounds so it's just for references..

Coolant leak you can try tightening the 3 screws position under picture 486237, if still leak might have to replace the O ring and cover and screws...

Future Scootering mechanic Ah Woo offered me this product a few weeks back when he rectified my cooler pump defect. The assembly set me aside $250+, cannot remember clearly how much he quoted for this electical pump.
