bro, is it OEM tat u meant? the previous runner comes standard with either a pirelli or sava. both got sucky grip during wet condition, otherwise still ok.

the michelin gold standard is an overall better tyres than those 2, imo. tried them at tuas track, condition ( dryhot beginning, wet later) still good. i had only 1 experience on track and its oso more to joyride, so dun take my word fully. but on road, i think its still good for daily use.

Oic, never heard of michelin having gold standard tyres before i tot they were OE tyres ..... i myself planning to change tyres pretty soon too n at the moment searching thru some website on tyre reviews..... maybe should try to search for the tyre u mention n its advantages.

Anyone knows which website has a review on the gold standard tyres????

Did some quick review search on these tyres..... n as per usual each tyre has different unique feature, advantages n disadvantages, but as an average mark score by all is the Michelin Pilot Sport. Gold Standard is juz as good too, but its advantage is the milage that it gives, but less sticky than pilot sport. So its up to your need n choice basically.

But if u r going for something more precise on your style of riding, for example u want more lean n grip, bopper is best, everday usage pilot city, for off-rd reggae would do the job.... n the list goes on. hope this info is gd for you.

hmmm.... not sure bout bigger cutting.... but from all the different brands of helmet i have n tried, i guess shoei fits me nicely, cos the interior foam has more of a "round" shape compared to arai "oval" shape.... but every brand has its own different shape, thats indicated by their different model. For a perfect fit i strongly recommend for you to go n try them out, try them all different models for eg, shoei has an x-11, x-9 n etc.... all these have different functions, styling n shape..... although x-11 is the top of the line for shoei, but if it dosen't fit your head well then it serves no purpose.

If its to tight, on long rides u will eventually feel the fatigue, if its loose, on impact/crash it might juz came loose. Another thing u might wanna consider is the weight of the helmet, a 2kg helmet will strain ur neck immediately, n a 1.6 - 1.4kg helmet, might be light once u put it on but on high speed or long rides u will be feeling the fatigue.

Heres a few steps to consider when buying, dont be influence by peers or salesmen, take your time testing the helmet, wear it for at least 5 mins or better still, wear it longer. Any strain or pain anywhere? how bout after u take it off? if its yes to any of these then the helmet shape n size is not for u. Gd luck in finding ur helmet/ life-saver :thumb:

sadly for 06 and above, not much tyres we can use.. the bopper doesn't come in our required size.. very limited.

how much lean u need? before u fully utilise a gold standard u gonna scrap ur mainstand already. the next thing will definately be ur transmission.

actually i've already scrap my mainstand a couple of time before on standard OE tyres (sava is it?)

one more thing abt the gold standard, i dunno whether its my luck or wat, for my case, they attract nails man.. damn!

hahaha, dats juz luck, same when i was using suprcorsa tyres, less than a mth confirm got something puncture it...... but that is due to my werkplace area, got a lot of nails n metal chips al over the rds. :(

Juz need to ride carefully

of cos driving n riding are different, 1 got 4-wheels the other got 2-wheels, but there r some things which r the same, like signalling when drive n ride.... always use the "middle finger" i guess its the universal language lah

Hi Guys,

Having the ST200 for abt a month now.

I know its not "run-in" yet, but yest i tried top speed only clocked at 110-115 km/h.

And my odo revs up to 8 only, at full throttle.

Is this normal?

I dont expect it to go to max which is 13, coz all other bikes I had previously werent able to (sometimes I just dont have the balls to push it that far! lol!)

but is the odo part normal (full throttle, odo @ 8)?

I need ur help guys. Im going to buy an exhaust leo vince from a stranger. He indicated that he still got the cert, but the exhaust has not been sent for inspection before at any inspection centre. What i want to know is that what are the necessary things i must do to make the exhaust legal? What are the documentation to produce? I've searched at the forum but to no avail alot of viewpoints given and made me confuse. Any kind soul care to highlight this to me?

When a pipe is deemed st legal, it means it is legal for rd use but not legally attached on ur bike yet. So get it fix on, ride down to LTA, bring ur cert n log card (photocopy will do) n the money for the inspection fees. Make sure the cert from the previous owner is an original n if ts more than 1 page make sure its complete (that means no missing pages). There the inspector will go thru the manufacturer cert, n take some photos, n all will be registered to ur bike. n thats all. Happy riding wif ur new pipe :thumb:
