hi to all...i wanna ask abt ur opinion abt using aftermarket variator...which one is better..? malossi...pollini...or pinasco...? im looking a better pickup...

I myself have yet to change my variator...... will be changing soon.

Heard many different point of views....

but in general, as wat i survey from a few users n mechs;

1)malossi - best in performance

2)pollini - gd in performance last longer than malossi

so if performance u r looking for then go for malossi but if durability/realiability then go for pollini.

not sure bout the rest of the models, hope this helps :D

Waah, promoting AHM.......

haven't been there before, but thinking of going there to try their services...

do u know wat are their operating hrs???

For air filter u can always DIY, juz unscrew the airbox situated on the left side of the rear swingarm. Remove it wash it with a air filter cleaner solvent, dry it, put some oil on it, place it back into the airbox, close it up..... there its done :thumb:

Thanks alot man . . . i have tried le, Fuel still consuming more, going at 150km per tk

i've juz change from malossi to pollini.. since the bushing for my malossi variator worn out excessively. bushing looks like made of copper, maybe another alternative material.. maybe can recon back and its good to go since rest of the parts are still ok. do take note, dun scrimp on ur u clip. these are one of the factors tat plays a part in a longer life span of ur variator..

back to the pollini . using the 6 rollers 1. instead of bushing, its using oil seals. dun noe if its gonna last longer but so far the pick up is there..

malossi comes with a stiffer torque springs, 14 and 15 grms roller as standard packing.

pollini comes with a 11.8grms roller.. standard packing.

so tats abt it.. pinasco not familiar ar.. so no comment

What do u really get for being the fastest?? :cheeky:

Hi bro.u said place some oil on the filter. . what kind of oil??Thanks

U can go to some of the bike shops n ask for it, juz say u need air filter oil. Not all bike shop know of such products.............

The purpose of the oil is to trap dust n dirt to the airfilter permanently, n later to be wash with the solvent easily, this will make the air-filter very clean almost like new :thumb:

But for me, i dont quite like to use the oil n solvent method, as u will need to spend $$$ to buy both the oil n solvent for washing..........

So wat i do is juz wash it clean with the solvent once, n then use it bone dry. The bad point bout this is less dust n dirt will get filtered but u can clean the air filter much easier by juz using a blower :D .......... but u need to blow it more often, this is due to the fact that u can never blow it clean to 100% not like the oil n solvent method.

If u worry bout the level of filteration, u can always opt for an aftermarket filter. They increase ur air-intake, but also have better filteration, this will give u a slight increase in hp not much maybe juz 1hp.
