Hi Guys,

im riding ST200 but when i move off slowly i hav like a jerky start....any ideas wats wrong?

Sure everybody will tell u its clutch problems...that's what i thought too till the jerks became to excessive and a hissing metal to metal noise came about...turns out one of the gear box bearings failed & destroyed the gear box when the ball got dislodged from the bearing race, there are if im not mistaken, 3 bearings n 3 gears in there. Still rideable but ur like a horse when moving off or accel. Slowly. Plus that wretched sound that just didn't go away!!! Den again, in ur case, it might just be the clutch..whatever it is, stick to stock thats is original parts for transmission Just my 0.02 cents n personal experience...anyways bike sold ;)

Sava is actually a pretty good tire...came as stock on my 08 ST. pretty good mileage & reasonable wet grip. Can try...

Yeah..u need to change the cdi n it is a necessity if u wanna get pass 9k rpm, with ease that is. Aftermarket pipe is lighter, sounds better & thats bout it ;) im no expert but chill bro. Hope u get ur answer

I think if you want a better performance, why not focus on the transmission parts such as variator, clutch, torque driver etc. etc.

Even rollers weights can make a difference. Not much difference if you just change CDI but everything else is running on stock..

Define better performance bro...racing transmission parts wear fast - broken variator housing/clutch slips arent uncommon, rollers let u play with either more accel vs top end vice versa...but all that and still u cant get past 9k rpm by just twisting ur throttle.

My 2 cents bro...if u use ur runner as a transport bike, keep ur transmission stock, engine stock, fit a pipe, change cdi, use better plugs & EO n most importantly maintain regularly n ur set for everyday use on sg roads. It'll be fast & quick enough...how much more u want with 200cc automatic? Unless u race than that a diff story :)

hi guys, new Gilera Rider here, just got mine yesterday, its seems that finding a good service place is very hard to find eh ?Just want to ask if there's any places to get parts/accesories for our bikes?and for starters,im looking for side view mirrors, and a mini/small head visor since i took out the stock one, quite ugly?saw some visors damn cool..mine is 2005 model,i know mine is quite OLD but still so far so good,no problem at all..everything all serviced..PLease help?Ah boy got sell any good parts accesories for Gilera's?or is the parts need to be compatible with the manufacture date or the parts can fit in every ST200 bikes despite the models/years differences?
