not cannot work ah..not efficient. 2nd hand caliper with brembo sticker.got conned last time by shop, they say 2nd hand brembo.. got them after my whole set of aprilia brake and oversized disc got stolen..

i learnt from mech..to be a good ,serious modder, lies in exhaust,carb, and tuning..etc..but not in the piston size and block. thats just basically making 125z to 150z. mods should be done to squeeze out as much out of the 125 as possible..not making the cc more..this is just something i picked up and got me thinking..

 

ANYWAY, sprocket and chain should cost abt 50 bucks. DID heavy duty gold chain. the meter can be found in jb..or shops in sg with a lot of accessories..gotta scout for it. its not sporty..just diff design.

 

yup very true about 2-stroke.. but that depends on playing what type of track or distance of drag race also.. some ppl prefer oversized piston which makes the bike more responsive but then u hit the top end quite fast.. if u use smaller distance the power most likely to come at the end.. by the time the bigger piston 125z reached its top end, the smaller piston 125z still increasing its speed and gaining on the other 125z..

 

for me ideal piston size for 125z is 100..

my 2 cents on how/what to modify

 

a 2-stroke's power mainly rely on the workmanship of porting the block and blockhead.. but also don't over-port cos this is a vital part on how ur fuel-consumption will be like..

 

carburettor

 

bore the block to ur desired size..

 

magneto.. replace it with a different bike's one.. (i can't tell which bike)

 

racing cdi.. to reach higher revs

 

clutch springs.. for better take offs and gear-shifting

 

gear ratio.. change to ur liking.. e.g. which gear u want more power

 

racing reed valve..

 

exhaust pipe.. precision measurement of the pipe is vital for whether its for pick-up or top end..

 

sprocket setting.. u guys should know.. play around with different sizes..

 

small tyres and rims.. how small is depends on how safety-concious u are..

 

for now i can't think of any more but i'm sure there are more mods that can be done.. bear in mind that 125z is a very light bike and u'll feel like u're floating when at high speed.. stability also not that good.. do invest on dampers and better braking systems..

Find sumone who is gonna scrap his Aprilli 125/250 arr, price can reach upp to 300-450 depending on its condition.

 

 

Nuthing much laa broo......dun worry. Im using steel-braided hose wif original caliper and Domino 320mm disc. So far no problem......since the day i bought this babe. Using quality stuff is true....it will make yr braking more efficient and stable.

the aprilia set that was stolen was installed by previous owner. powerful braking..if ur tyre worn, it can easily lock the tyre and slide a bit. a set may reach 500.. if u really sayang ur bike and plan to keep long term, its a gd investment.

 

of course, it would be better than the stock hose. but to maximise the power, u need more than that. change the hose(so far i only know hel)and the disc to oversize will do.

wapiang today nearly accident, kannina going back from work..then the car suddenly wan to squeeze me sia jam brakes until behind skidded.fuyoo, then saw the driver waving to say sorry,but i si bei tulan went bside the car and stare at the driver dunno for wad also, then realise is a charbor..quite young. then she keep on waving hand to say sorry.

 

luckily is nvr hit me. @$!@$#!@#!. if not sian 1/2.

 

my rear alwys easily skid leh, think my braking skill not good, too much rear brake,but during kanchiong time nvr think so much sia.

 

costar if plainly change brake hose only with stock caliper and disc got effect?.. or very little effect only ah.
