Guys/Gals,

New mp3 125ie owner here. Appreciate some insight to the following questions.

1) Anyone can give me a gauge of what is the fuel consumption like for a Mp3 125ie model?

2 Is iridium spark plug suitable for this bike? Cannot seems to find an online equivalent for the NGK CR8EB.

3) Anyone has put saddle box/bag for this model?

Thanks in advance and safe motoring.

In my opinion, the handling and ride is probably the best amongst 2B scooters. OTR is about $12800 w/o insurance. Power wise, nothing to be proud about.

Very few on the road other than the ones from LTA so be prepared to get pointed at/stared at.

Above 30 for comprehensive is only $309

thats cheap i 20 Plus 800++ btw whats the max you speed you clock on the 125cc?? tempted to change exhaust when i get it

Posted

~110km/h after bike run-in but you got to subtract about 10km as I suspect speedo not very accurate. Heard the LV exhaust might be a good idea but I rather keep it stock for now.

Let me know once you get yours and maybe can share with my your consumption. Seems like very few ppl own this bike.

MP3 125 OTR price of $12,150, more than double some normal 2B scooters. Is it worth it?

The MP3, IMHO, more like a statement of individualism. For a point A to B bike/scooter, there are many more out there cheaper and maybe just as good.

The point is, the mp3 is not "some normal 2b scooter".

If you want "some NORMAL 2b scooter" you're apparently looking at the wrong place.

if you're looking for a cheap 3 wheeled scooter, PGO has some cheap ones with 2 wheels behind. But I'd rather you not get the licence for it.

It's hard to gauge the worthiness of something isn't it ? One man's treasure is another man's trash.

What I can tell you is that the mp3 is a total different experience of riding, some of us love it, some totally hate it. Those who love it, find it worthy of every penny. Those who hate it wished that they'd never set their eyes on it.

What do you want from your ride ?

After thinking long and hard, I have almost decided to get the MP3 125. Got a quote of $12,150 OTR (w/o insurance). As it is my first time buying a motorbike, can the bros and sis's kindly advise me on what I should look out for when I put down the deposit? Anybody able to bargain for more stuff? Tks

Considering the MP3 125cc, but not available at Genting lane for viewing at the moment. I am wondering is it really more stable and safer than a normal 2B bike? I have fallen off my 2B chopper bike twice before due to jam braking and gotten hairline cracks, so considering something safer. If it is really as good as the maker says, then the price might be worth it. How about those who dislike this bike? What are your reasons for disliking it? Appreciate all comments.

I really love MP3 and thought that 250cc will be the best choice but the problem is that they no longer selling brand new. I also seldom see anyone selling second hand MP3 250cc. Any pros and cons for taking 400cc??

I heard 400cc has more FC. more problematic compare to 250cc (hope it's not true)? other than more power, anymore pros?

Genting Lane is the distributor. They don't sell bikes per se. Mine was from ASphoon.

I did perform an emergency braking just last week and I must say it is certainly felt more stable coming to a stop than other bikes I rode. But then again, this sort of thing is also very subjective. The best safety precaution you can take is to ride defensively.

Personally, this scooter is certainly 'not' value for money as there are many more Cat 2B scooters that are more powerful and priced more reasonably - if that is your priorities. But if you priorities are in terms of safety, road visibility/presence, overall low maintenance, this is probably it.

Do note that if you are one that are very concerned about how others perceive you riding this scooter, let me share with you the positive and negative comments from friends and colleagues.

Some said looks sporty, one said look like transformer, one said rubbish, "underpower" bike, one said didn't know you got class 1, some say don't waste time.

Other than the underpower part which I think can be address by getting the 400cc MP3 or the 500xx fucco, the rest are certainly comments you expect post buying the bike.

Cheers!

box gotta go back piaggo $620

Thanks for the input.

I was there for my 1k svc and was told by the techs they getting a newer ecu programmer called the navigator.

once it is in, i might consider getting the lv and have them tune it. Anyone knows if other shops already offer such tuning for fuel injected models?
