Don't see a lot of people selling their MP3. Maybe there isn't many to begin with. The distributor does not bring in much stock, and they ran out of stock in Oct. I was told that the new stock would come in sometime in Dec/Jan.

Just got a 2ndhand Mp3 400.

Being 10yrs never rided hope i am not rusty LOL.

how much and where you get it?

Hi Guys,

I'm intending to get mp3 125...

I had read both the good points, safety, visability etc. I like this bike coz its unique and something classy... The price is kind of high but i suppose thts the price for something like that.

However, the main holding back now is with the tilting problems, brakes, light issues that mp3 riders had highlighted. Any brother here can advise if those issues are with the current batch of MP3 125?

Thanks and hope to join this mp3 riders community soon!

Ride Safe... Cheers

Jason

Hi everyone, I have been reading the posts here, and am enquiring as to whether the MP3 125cc version is as underpowered and as slow as people say it is. Long distance, high speed riding is "siong"??

Also, what modifications can I make to it, given a substantial budget? Where's the better place to buy one new? ASP or Ban Hon?

And what about servicing and aftercare?

Lastly, can i mount Hepco and Becker boxes on the top and on the side?

This MP3 forum is quite dead... I posted my questions on 22-Dec and haven't got any reply yet....

Outdoorchap, I'm quite fixed on getting an mp3125. Yes. Its underpowered. This bike is built for city/town usage. But in Singapore, basically everywhere is considered city/town as compared to those European places where they need to ride some distance to reach their homes.

My consideration for getting this bike is simple,

1) Safety - more stability on corners, wet roads

2) Something different - I'm currently driving an OPC car... feel like a change to have a bike for transporting myself...

Hope you will get yours too!!!

Sadly, MP3 riders are also extremely rare. The AD brings in very few MP3s. They have been out of stock since Oct, and new stock won't be in till Mar 11.

So not surprising that this thread is so dead, becos there are so few 3-wheel riders to begin with.

I got a MP3 400 for 1 year already, and generally quite happy with it. The pickup is fast, the ride is stable, and the stares and finger-pointing from other road users are definitely worth it. On the downside though, the build quality is not impressive. The underseat compartment latch is flaky, and I already have a couple of loose/dropped screws under the front of the bike.

Anyway, just want to share my encounter and get your advice pls:

- engine will intermittently stall at low speed: this started to happen at abt 3000km, and had gotten much worse now. On a bad day, the engine will just cut itself off 30% of the times I stop.

- Had been changing engine oil at every servicing (ADH @ Genting Lane). Problems will ease up for a few days, then occur again soon after that.

- At the last servicing (10,000km), ADH said they cleaned out the engine and now the engine doesn't stall anymore

- However just after that, the exhaust will make sputtering/popping noise everytime I decelerate to

- Also noticed that the engine idle RPM has seemingly increased from ~1500 to ~1800

- Also noticed a unconnected rubber hose, ~10mm thick ~15cm long running from the engine downwards to nowhere...

Are these symptoms somehow connected? How to resolve them?

These are definitely not normal, scooter was a dream to ride in first 3 months before the problems occur. :(

I just bought mine few weeks ago from one of the guys here. It's running at 20000KM now. I have the same problem that you have mention. Engine will stall when i close throttle and RPM reaches idle. So i decide to check with USA Mp3 forum which is more active than here. look at this.

I didn't do exactly cos i havent bought the spray but i went to botak to do a air filter cleaning... BTW, the air filter was really really very dirty. After the cleaning, the problem seems go away for a few day. But now it come back again. Haven't get a chance to buy the spray yet.

Any new owners/riders of MP3 125ie here?

Any problems/issues faced so far? Please share and discussion here with the brothers.

Thanks!

you plan to buy or you already bought it?

nope. 2b... gotta wait for 1 yr to get my 2a... am a newbie in riding... i currently drive...

Hi JasunZ, will advise to wait for your Class 2A and then get the 400cc. Hear from many folks who got the 125cc that it's quite underpowered for the heavy bike. And frankly, I feel that the additional power is always welcomed for bikes to get out tight maneuvers etc.

I would second that....

Dragonia, So do you manage to solve the stall problem? I recently found out that if i don't ramp my throttle at pick up, my engine wont' stall. maintain my rpm at pickup period at 3500 - 4000rpm. Ofcos, i do proper warm up everyday

Thanks for the advice... I was thinking of getting the 125 then get my class 2 before going for the fucco 500
