same here.. i have that sound too.. after cutting off the engine and in "N" position, when i push the bike, the tak tak sound can be heard from inside the fairing.. very strange.. cause in the morning before start, dont have but after i come home and cut the engine, then the sound comes.. sounds like from the transmission.. hmm

If its from engine it could be timing chain. but you have to tell us where the sound comes from. Rear front or engine. Since you said you just change sprocket and chain then should be chain not tighten. You can go back to the mech to ask him to rectify.

Ahhhhhh come from front sprocket Hmmmmm.. could be alot of reason.... But my guess is that when you change the sprocket, he didnt clean the area for you. Thus the sand and soil with grease are still in one lump in that area so might me the sprocket and chain grinding the sand particles...

Im not sure if it is that but its possible and its the best case scenerio. You can open the cover and remove all the lumps of soil. hopefully it can cure your problem. if you want you can use petrol and brush to wash it. :thumb:

Not confirm la but it happen to me before so this was wat i experience before. :)

i dont think its coming from the engine. the sound is actually coming from the front sprocket area.

Chain too tight???

My previous bikes when chain is tighten too tight, tak tak tak sound will appear.:cheeky:

Ya prob chain too tight also will cause this kinna sound. Cos they adjust the chain without you sitting on it. but once you sit on the bike the chain pull and tension up. Could be also due to chain too tight.

front sprocket? maybe the front sprocket nut was loose that why got a weird sound.. better bring it to your mech to check it out.. could be pretty dangerous if the front sprocket is loose..
