First n foremost, So Happy finally got a own Aprilia Club... =)

 

Back to being a rare n nothing but rare bike in Singapore, no doubt do have a unique feeling.. =)

but cant help but feeling something missing as i see tru other bike makes thread of the numerous outing n so....

 

Mark C >> got outing u only invite quize, nvr invite me... so sad... anyone can just go ma....

 

My bike is from MAH, so far so good their services.. nvr failed to do something extra for my bike when i sent it in for 1st servicing.. Hope no complex technical issues pop out soon...

 

PS: i m in the midst of designing a own sportcity Tee.. haha

There is nothing called the best bike in sin..

A lot depends on the options opened to u.. n personally preference.

 

Since u narrowed down to sportcity vs gilera..

 

n oso since it is sharing same engine.. consider the overall looks n image..

 

Gilera population is growing far too rapidly n too firece le...

personally i fancy their 05 model much more than 06 model.

 

but i still think perhaps being rare in its own uniqueness not a bad thing afterall..

Runner rider are abit fierce, this morning saw a runner cutting in and out of vehicle like nobody business and almost knock into fellow biker. Runner rider still got the gut to show middle finger to other biker. Shameful.

 

For safety, go for sportcity.

I'm using sportcity for the past 4 months... very practical compared to gilera. Clocking 3000km already.

 

IMHO

Sportcity - for practicality ('tapau' hook, ample under seat storage, flat floor (suitable for notebook bag / back pack))

Gilera - Styling and look. More suitable for 'young' at heart rider.

 

Sportcity and Gilera uses same Piaggio LEADER series engine... so spare part wise not to be worried.

cos i need my leg to support the bike muahahah still need tip toe lei...

but the "tapau" hook really come in handy for my yoga mat sia..

Aprilians....... we are hoping for more Aprilia Owners to join our Aprilia Riders Club Singapore. I am Dannis, commonly known as the Events Organizer of the club. I do organize outings n trips in Singapore n Malaysia. Most of our club ppl owns at least 2 bikes n usually they wont be riding RS125/RS250 on casual outings like Lim Ko Pi sessions, dinner sessions, or chill out at Yishun Dam........ We are all very easy ppl to get along with n we are a multi-racial community.

 

When we go out, we always ride at speed limits of Singapore Roads, so if anyone here is interested to join us for our outings which we usually organize n notify each other via sms or msn...... u may log in to our website at my signature or can just sms me at 90214262. well its kinda popular. rare model too. haha

got quite a few in seen in kl. speedin ard tru the jams.

very agressive. but the fuel consumption sure bad.

 

how much does a sport city cost in sg?

btw how is the support in sg? does the mechanic know how to

trouble shoot wat wrong with the bike if its spoil.?

 

i did face problem b4. i tried call the shop in seranggon but no 1 pick up the call at all.

i can clock abt 30-34/litre max lei...

 

machine price in sg is ard 6.5K.... excluding insurance etc..

 

i checked w 1 shop in jalan besar area, they seems to kn but 1 thing i dun like is there is no room for modication like change honk etc....

with a full tank fuel how many kilo can u travel max?

my max kilo travel is 170km. with a very slow pickup

and constant throttle.

 

wow tats cheap in sg.

For me, i didnt really get the chance of seeing how far my full tank can go up to.

Usually left 1 bar indicator or less but before low fuel indicator is lighted, my mileage already close to 266+km.

 

i have no prob w pickup but only when travelling at highway or so, at ard 90-100km... esp w strong wind, bike will wobble a fair bit...

 

nope i not into mod just wanna change the honk cos original one seem like cat meowing.. car usually ignore me... =(

n i just wan do up a hazard light indicator switch.... but oso didnt get too..
