juz curious, when are we suppose to change our wheel bearings?

Put bike on main stand or jack up the wheels, spin the wheel to check if its smooth. Listen if there is squeaky sound when turning the wheel. Finally jerk the wheel to see if there is any free play.

I didnt try it before but it was told to me by a Pro bike technician. He told me that pure coolant has higher boiling point than coolant that is mixed with water. And normally most bike shop wouldnt do that because they want you to change coolant faster and also make you think that changing coolant is cheap.

pro bike tech? from where? can mention or not?

my handlebar is wobbling very very badly when i release my hand from the handlebar a bit at slow speed of around 60km/h... but i dun feel any wobbling when travelling at 80km/h and above... it onli starts to wobble when slowing down from 60km/h.... issit my steering cone has to be replace?? BTW.. i have a rear box...

Another question... Wat is tensioner and wat is the purpose and use of it??

if im not wrong, if steering cone got prob, u will feel it while negotiating corners.. someone correct me if wrong..

rear box do contribute to some wobbling..

have u checked your wheel bearings?

i had this experience with wobbling at slowing down. the fault found was wheel bearing gone case. needs replacement. very affordable though.

I just got rid of the problem... the problem will cause ur front tire uneven 'botak'

my cause of problem was one of my fork's oil have less than the other one. It was due to leak. my bearing also got problem too.

Then do a valves clearance since the gasket leaked.

YOu know why like that and what causes it???My bike is abt 3 years old liao??sian leh...throw my money away.........

IS part of tear and wear but 3 years old a bit too early, but since like that might as well do a VC since u r opening up the engine block.

But my friend FQ Ver S, till now still using original gasket nv leak, I guess is part of luck.

Redname,

How old is your bike?? When's the last time you did a brake bleeding? Cos as time pass, the brake fluid will leave a layer of residue or slurge and will clork up your brake hose and therefore restrict the brake fluid to flow back to the reservoir when you release the brake lever.

No, it means you never throw corner hard enough :slapforehead:

i did my bleeding liao, still squeak :(

Sometimes bleeding need 2-3 bottles of brake oil to bleed all residue. I used 2 bottles to bleed and the glass for inspecting brake oil become clear again not blur.....
