hmmmz~ how would push starting affect ur rectifier? care to explain? someone said that push starting will cause some probs to ur piston due to not warming up of the piston and forcefully pushing it to start running. what about the rectifier?

i have no prove, but last time i push start it burns my fuse, it means the current can be very strong and may spoil the rectifier or CDI... if the current can burst the fuse, it can burn the electrical device in our bike...

so which means that by push starting it, when it starts, there will be a sudden flow of electrical system which may in turn damage the rectifier? from my limited knowledge, the rectifier works as a device to convert the kinetic energy to electrical energy and transmit it to the battery to charge it. so will the conversion of energy really damage the rectifier? any electrical ppl ard here to advise me?

rectifier to convert AC to DC to charge the batt.

yeah i know~ but what im trying to ask is how does push starting spoil the rectifier as Sev said

Guys, can anyone pls tell me what the cone bearing is for? What are the signs if it is worn out? :pity: :pity: :pity:

Just now tried a little free hand at less than 80km....handle bar wobble like crazy!!!! Lucky got damper, if not confirm 'up car'.....

Whenever I park my bike, pointing the bars straight, it will automatically slant to the left???? Anything wrong with the cone bearing :? :? :?

when u park your bike leaning to the left so the bar will also go left due to the weight. simple law of gravity :D

one way to check cone bearing is to brake harder using the front one, if u feel or hear a tock sound, most likely cone bearing is kaput. pls becareful when using this technique, just use a little bit more force than usual will do. my fren ended up doing a stoppie and landed hard

maybe front wheel bearings wore out or something is loosened.

BTW do u have a box fitted? that may contribute some shaking.

Bro, I seriously think it is your carbon reed.(something under the engine, more like a transformer than anything else. To fox it, have to go to good mechanic liau. My F3 also had the same prob 3 weeks ago. Bought new original rectifier and battery, still got same problem... Then I went to HKL, looked for the old mechanic, the one who just came over from the First motor... He checked, opened up everything, and find out that my carbon still ok, but just my transformer not connecting properly...

If it is the carbon, expect to pay 80 bucks. If just like mine, transformer not connecting, pay only 20 bucks...

If ur bike have the same problem (starter carbon finishing), use a screw driver to knock on the starter. The starter is located on the left side of the bike, just above the gear box......Just knock on the plastic cover will do....

This type of problem always happen to most Vs are the age of 5 or 6 yrs.......Cost ard $120 to fix....$80 for the carbon, $40 for the labour.... X cos have to remove tank and ur carb just to recond it....

:giddy: :giddy:

Hope the above info will help u guys.... :D :D
