Hi guys,

 

I am having some problems with my ver s. Need some advice from you. :sweat:

 

1) Cold engine will stall when idling. Starting the engine is easy but I have to maintain the throttle if not engine will stall. This always happen when the engine is cold (e.g. in the morning or when bike is parked a few hours). But the problem will go away once the engine has warm up. Idling rpm is 1k when engine fully warms up.

 

2) When I throttle my bike in neutral gear, I can see the green neutral light becomes brighter. Is it time to change my battery and rectifier?

 

3) I can hear some squeaky sound when pushing my bike and it is coming from the front. Time to change my steering cone?

> It shows that your bike is charging. Only when it doesnt become brighter, then should u be worried.

> Most prob your brake pads. Ask your mech to use the air-gun on it.

But can elaborate why do i have to increase the idling a little more? As it used to be ok at this idling speed and why it would have a problem now? No tuning or whatever has be done to the carbs. Is it due to the wear and tear of other components like spark plugs? Cause eo, oil filter and air filter has been been serviced regularly.

guyz i reali need help here, hope u guyz can help, my bike now very hard to start...after puttin in key cant start then must switch off and on again then can start, all this happened after i installed my rxz headlight to my bike..went to the mechanic cause thot maybe wiring problem, but he say wiring all no problem, he say might be cdi shot or key ignition shot..aniwae i m ridin a spec 1..as far as i know if cdi spoil ur bike got no power but my bike still got power, still can go up to 150 w/o any problem, any suggestions..plz help!!!

Idling may "run" after a while... just increase a little and see what happens.

 

Many ppl like to put the idling speed at 1k or below when hot... Claims it saves them petrol and stop the bike from over heating...

 

From my experience, putting too low an idling speed may not produce smooth pickup and requires you to pull the choke or hold the throttle while warm up...

 

My idiling was always at 1.2k when hot... When cold, its about 1k.

 

If your bike is still diffecult to start when cold, other causes could be a dirty or un-syncronised carburators.

Hi all CB 400 Bros,

 

I have a question here.

 

Recently just change to a CB400 SPec II(4 Years old...but owner keep in very good condition).

 

Went to bike shop and was advise by mechanic to wash carburator and tuning.

 

THe problem is, after carburator washing and tuning, during the morning when i start my bike, there is a "grat grat" or sort of a knocking sound coming from the engine. This will go on till my engine warm up.

 

Mech says its clutch housing faulty. But b4 i wash carburator and tune, there is no "grat grat" sound whenever i start my bike in the morning or cold start.

 

Advise is greatly appreciated bros.

got cranking start but cant start no matter how much i throttle, must keep on resettin, now got new problem, my head light is down, it cant be turned on even though my panel bar shows its on high beam all the way..even wen i select low beam..

version S end can koyat already...vibration sound comming out from endcan inside....sigh...any bros here knows any mech can do the fins inside?Also looking for those who wanna to push their Version S to shop one to exchange too + i top up you abit...

 

Engine cut off switch also koyat ..auto off when too much vibration or gentle tap to the switch around that area...too dangerous end up DIRECT SHORT and disable that ... Problems problems problems... :sian:

hey guys... recently my s4 encounter 1 prob... in the day my front brakes very sensitives, while in the night the brakes isnt that good need to press more compared to the day... so it time to change brake fluid?? help:cry: thanks in advances

i just realised whenever i stop at the traffic light, there is a "tink tink tink" sound at my right side..

 

Continuous sound of 3 or 4 sec interval... The sound seem to be heard from engine..

 

I changed my engine oil last 2 month ago and it's not time for a engine oil yet..

 

how come got this tink tink sound? anyone can help?

today found out that my silencer inside should be loose..when i tried to push in more and it WON'T vibrate...sigh..really tired opening it..hope it will resolve soon...cheers....... :sian:

Question:

 

after changing to smaller signal lites... the blinking rate is faster. recommended by many to change the relay.

 

1) where can i locate this relay?

2) where/price to get this relay...

Riding Version S

For the coolant container in the right side panel, what level do I have to top up the coolant to?

Is it top up till the Higher mark?

Can I use water or must I use the coolant they sell at petrol stations?

juz wanna check, when i park my bike overnite, i see some oil stains on the ground in the morning.. not a lot but so-so la.. is it anything alarming or things that need to be checked? im riding verS.

:help: Need helps here. I'm driving a S4 Vtec1. My headlight(both high and low) couldn't light up, instead, the blue color high beam indicator light up even if i switch to low. :help: Don't think is the light bulb blown, suspect it is wire short circuit(kana water inside?) or the the problem with the switch. Can anyone help me on this?

 

Last night rode without headlight on KJE... sekali kana caught by TP.

bro, the max indicator means the max amt u can top up is til tat line, not more than that... the indicator works jus like EO indicator, as long as it's betw max and min u're safe.......

 

recommend u use coolant ...not very ex....can get radcool....about $5-$6:goodluck:
