Maybe u can try sit on the bike without the side stand. After around 10 sec then start the engine to see if the ticking sound will go away.My bike do have ticking sound only when engine is cold.Seem like the engine oil take more time to travel upward when bike is park with side stand and over night..

JBATRACER...i only have 1 thing to say...u know your engines! Thumbs up!

Ticking sound during warm up than after riding awhile no sound...valve clearence issue. Doesn't hurt the bike but if it gets way too loud...good to get the clearence adjusted.

Careful of what we read in forums...not every advise is a sound advise. Always ask from those that had the experience before and solved the problem. Dun get me wrong...i know everyone wants to help.

Me...still learning everyday.

Cheers!
