Expired Road Tax! Please Advice!

Hi fellow riders,

 

Basically LTA sent me a letter reminding me to renew my road tax before expiry on end Dec 2017. But due to work piling up, the letter was never opened (at the bottom of a pile of letters) until early Jan (3/01) to be precise. And lo & behold! i found out that i have been riding on the road for a week plus without road tax (with insurance expiring on 04/17).

 

In the meantime, i was not stopped by LTA,ROV or TP at all. After i found out that my road tax has expired, i tried to renew online but was unable to to so due to insurance and road tax expiry not tallying. Went down to Income to renew my road tax and extend my Insurance the following day. Paid the $10 late fees as well.

 

With the above-mentioned scenario, will i be charged in Court or Fined by LTA?

Does the bike need inspection? If only a week, you lucky. go go go. quickly to LTA sin ming. just a small fine. QUICK

It expires on dec 24 but was only renewed on 4th Jan Inspection is not needed though...
