usually brake caliper piston should be smooth and easy to move.. when its out, it can be easily push back in with some force using hand when the bleeding nipple is open..under normal usuage, the caliper piston will return slightly so that the vrake pads is not rubbing the disc...and will be push against the disc when u brake and putting pressure against it...most of the time when its tight, its due to the 'o' ring inside the caliper expended and causing the piston unable to return...
