Cambodia Trip 2009

 

Date: 11/06/2009 to 22/06/2009

 

Anyone who wish to join me just drop me a sms or call me at 93884476, just to you all know I only can have 4 bikes the most for this trip and only class 2 bike, I'll update name & itinery later.

Now i got 3 bike, I will go ahead with the plan and will post up the itinerary of this trip.

From the pics i can see that you entered thru Koh Kong. Just wondering, which part of ccambodia are you visiting for this trip?

For Phnom Penh:

1) Independence Monument

2) National Museum

3) Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda

4) Wat Phnom

5) Choeung Ek Memorial (The Killing Fields)

6) Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21)

 

For Siem Reap will be just Angkor Wat

Aiyo, trip full... so sad.... I was thinking to bring my Dr Big to stretch her old legs....

Hi All,

 

Here are the details, dates & itinerary all this may change due to issue or number of bikes and people.

 

Day 1 12/06/09:

Meet up 3:00 am GP then ride up to hatyai, around 12 or 1pm "sg time" we will reach to Hatyai train station we will get our ticket for bikes & 1st class sleeper "2 to a room" This will cost about 3500 THB for yourself and the bike. "it maybe less"

The info I given may change will meet up and update everyone once I got ok from everyone.

 

Day 2 13/06/09:

Around 6 am or 10 am we reach Bangkok then we will ride donw to Trat or Koh Kong and a stay nite.

 

Day 3 14/06/09:

From Trat or Koh Kong 7 am we will set up to Phnom Penh reach by 2 or 3 pm "Cambodia time"

Will rest a bit at hotel then meet up go to the "Independence Monument" & "Wat Phnom" then dinner.

 

Day 4 15/06/09:

We will be going this 3 place, "National Museum", "Choeung EK Memorial (The Killing Fields)" & "Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21)" then go for dinner.

 

"The 2nite in Phnom Penh place we go may change"

 

Day 5 16/06/09

From Phnom Penh 8 am we ride to Siem Reab & reach around 12 or 2pm then from here will OTOT till we meet up for dinner.

 

Day 6 17/06/09

We tour around Angkor Wat this will take up to the whole day then we go for dinner.

 

Day 7 18/06/09

From Siem Reab we will ride to Bangkok, from Siem Reab to the border is about 150km but there is a 120km of so call off road as they are doing repair of the road. This road info I will update when we are there.

Stay a nite at Bangkok near to train station.

 

Day 8 19/06/09

From Bangkok to Hatyai cost will be 3500 THB bike and one person.

 

Day 9 20/06/09

We can ride back to home or stay a nite at Penang or Ipoh if not we will ride home sweet home.

 

PLS take note:

Total cost will be around $800 to $1000 per rider.

Just the train ride for 2 is 3000 THB less and the bike will be 1500 THB ++ for my 1200GS, they go by weight. and we need to give them a bit tip too that is why i say 3500 THB for rider and bike.

The train will fit in your total number of bikes? Heard they may not always have room for cargo.

 

The cargo may fit in about 4 bikes, the last trip I went there is 2 TDM, 1 DR 650 & 1200GS.

 

Just need to be there early to book the ticket.

But anyway, why do you guys need to take a train?

1) The ride is to Cambodia so cut down the riding time in Thailand "take train is about the same cost as riding up"

2) As long you are Singaporean no Visa needed.

3) I buy travel insurance but for your bike insurance just and at Thailand will do.

4) as long your bike is Singapore plate just show them your log card will do.

5) Is it safe in Singapore when you ride? Everywhere is not safe just be careful on the road. Take your time and Don't speed.
