Parking on railway (MRT) premise

Hi friends,

 

I got a notice of offence since I parked my bike on the walkway beside Kranji mrt car park. Was very rushing that time to malaysia since the bus was leaving soon from Kranji and I couldn't find any where nearby to park. Anyway, just wanna know what is going to happen since it sounds seriously... Any advice is really appreciated.

 

PS: the notice of offence is from SMRT officer

Regulation Infringed: 44 - Leaving motor vehicles on railway premises.

Never heard of, at first I thought you park on the track itself.

Think they will fine you like parking on pavement.

Do update us so that we can avoid this situation.

Why don't you call SMRT and enquire further on the offence since they are the landlord??

So in the end did they impose a fine to u?

It's considered as parking within a private premise. Therefore, the summon will not be as per parking on pavement. It'll definitely be a lot higher. You could clarify with an SMRT officer regarding this. G'luck.

ya true the saman is higher den $70. dis time, LTA will saman u.. cos railway premises is LTA property. same procedure letter sent to house. if ignore fine raise n ignore again go court. same procedure, but onli diff org saman
