May I ask what kind of replacement battery we can use for the Atlantic 200? I hear that the 12Ah battery is now very rare, and the maintenance free version even rarer?

Currently I'm using a 9Ah Shinko MF battery

I have changed my battery few mths ago at Sunrise Euro. Just look for Simon, and he will advise you the Yuasa battery for it...

Not to worry, the battery for atlantic is not too rare, at least most of the shops at Kallang Ave is able to replace for you....

My opinion, most of the parts of Atlantic components are fairly available (same as X9) , except the external components eg. fairings, "Atlantic" lettering , etc

Hi Ziggyray

Those I that I can find are usually the 10Ah ones.

Are you able to find a maintenance free 12Ah battery? Thanks.

Bro,

U need to go to a mechanic that U can trust, sometimes if even it means paying more. Cause you never know wat you might b paying for. Extra services, you not expecting or is not stated. Going to a place that you dun trust o dun feel good abt is not rite, even if they r the cheapest.

Different bike shop replace different branded parts. eg;

1. belt= dayco, mitsuboshi,bando, piaggio etc.

2. rollers= original, malossi, sliding roller etc

3. pulley o ring= some replace, some do not

4. engine oil= castrol, conoco, maxima, esso etc

5. oil filter= piaggio, P/A, china made, malaysia made

6. spark plug= NGK, DENSO, CHAMPION etc

7. gear oil= castrol, esso, unicon etc

8. service= clean transmittion with contact cleaner, never clean transmittion, use air gun to blow away dust in transmittion etc

So its the issue of wat parts they use on ur bike and how they service ur transmittion.

If u want cheap, then they will give u cheap parts and cheap service, but dont complaint when somethings happened to ur bike.

Alway ask wat type of parts they change for u and wat type of service they do for u, not only the price!

Hi guys,

Been contemplating about getting an Atlantic. Riding a X9 now.

Any feedbacks regarding this bike in regards to -

1) maintainence

2) FC

3) Handling

My guess is that the X9 and the Atlantic are very similar.

Handling wise, you'll be moving from 14 inch tires to 13 inch.

I could get from 24 to 28 km a litre of petrol.

i see.. how about complications? cos X9 has a fair bit of problems.. is the wear and tear high for atlantic? Assuming regular riding..

So far my Atlantic is coming to four years (it's one of the first few registered in Singapore) and I haven't had significant problems with it. The usual mechanical wear and tear parts like the clutch and belt should last about the same as the X9 if you're using the standard parts.

The Atlantic doesn't have the problem with the digital dashboard because it uses traditional analogue meters. Not sure what other problems the X9 would have.

what the Dooooo. oh no

i think i kanna ketok liao :giddy:

cos i suspect the gave me a chiong belt

cos there was no brand on the belt just numbering.

as my brother told me that it should have a Piaggio logo or something on it

sian kanna ketok liao...

well as a piece of advice to new scooter rider like me that u are about to change ur belt

look at the belt around it or all over it that it must have the brand of it before letting them fix into the bike

haiz... wish me luck when i ride on it and last quite long for it....
