Are you riding a Fino? Amazing fuel consumption for this bike.

Anyway try starting with the choke open located on the left side of your handlebar. Close the choke before moving off.

What's the mileage on the bike? Should not be a serious issue.

Why did you decide to change the spark plug? Is it the original plug?

yep, only 6000+ mileage. wouldnt it be best not to use choke can easy start bike? im using ngk standard plug, changed it cos i suspect the problem but no.

am riding a fino too..sometime when it hard to start i will just open the choke and it starts easliy! reason might be due to engine cold bah..i guess that applies to most automation bike coz my bf's cpi also sometimes hard to start.

It seems kinna new for your bike. Thus i figure should be cold start issue. If close choke can work then ok lor. But when you start the bike the starter motor got crank rite? Then you rev abit lor. Last time for my TW electric start also always give prob but i can understand cos its old and luckily there is kick starter. For the TW of mine is the starter motor old liao so consider spoil.

excessive use of choke is bad for pistons. if your bike require choke to start everytime, you should bring your bike to a competent mechanic to check.

yep too much cranking without starting the bike is bad for piston rings, starter motor, battery, starter chain and starter chain tensioner.

hard starting could be due to alot of reasons. it could be as simple as a faulty starter motor lead connection (rust, loose, etc) or as bad as poor compression. it may also be due to improper fuel/air mixture.

maybe u could give us more info to narrow down the problem?

DO NOT subject your starter motor to relentless cranking. let it cool for a few minutes after every 5 or so cranks. do not turn the throttle when starting the bike too.

starting need these conditions to be right...

fuel

spark

compression...

if the conditions are not 100% right, if not u will have a hard time starting. use choke then , this makes the fuel mix overly rich and starting should be easier......

since u have the engine oil and spark plug changed...i suggest u take alook at your spark plug..is gap correct?? is it sparking ??of course clean the electrodes with a piece of sandpaper..and try...

try use your old plug to recreate the last good start...

if it fails....there are more complicated stuff involved.

good luck...

hey it may be a simple case of having the kill switch at the on position or petrol stop **** being turn off...

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:
