{Help!]Gear controlling.

took pract 1 today. didn't passed, got 2/4 chops.

 

abit upset and pissed with myself.

 

was supposed to do gear 1-5 at my own rate in the circuit and then go 2 gear downs from 5-3 before a bend. instructor said i went to wrong gear,(i was at gear 1). however, it was because of the other learner infront of me who was considered a little slow at gear 5, when i tried to maintain at gear 5 speed behind the learner, the bite vibrate alot. So i made my own decision and decided to down gear to 4, then realise still vibrating so i go gear 3. Then in the end when approach the bend, i gear down 2 times to 1. That's where the instructor pointed out the mistake

 

last part was something like a S curve and maintaining at gear 2. got through it the first try. on the 2nd try, the instructor corrected my gear shifting because when i change gear 1 to 2 i let go of the clutch completely. so i tried to do half-clutch and the bike stalled. then the instructor told me that i should let go more of the clutch. this time round i really let the clutch go above the half way mark till around 3/4 but the bike stalled again. the instructor said i didn't have enough speed and when i tired to go gear 1 to 2. it will be at neutral.

 

fellow sbf brothers, i felt that for the first part there was nothing better i could and for the second part, i felt that the bike's clutch really needed more than half clutch with throttle in order to gear up from 1-2.

 

would appreciate a few pointers and opinions regarding this matter.
