Hi! Gangs,

I'm still using the stock air box. Thinkin of changing to open port. What are pros and cons?

I heard that Dr Pulley rollers improves pick up. Does it have any effect on Top Speed?

I heard that it improves pick up but decreases top speed..

Err...

top speed = heavier rollers. Bigger centrifugal force at work.

This means a slower pickup, better top end.

Pickup = lighter rollers. variator spins faster to achieve better pickup.

This means better pickup but asserts lesser centrifugal force for better top speed.

Understand?

Try to strike a balance to suit your requirements.

open port, u need to resize ur jettings to suit the unrestrictive amt of air going into ur carb.. if not ur going to run very lean! and tat also means ur fuel intake will be greater. there'll be a slight diff in pick up,imo.

dr pulley, never try so no comment. try lah then u noe. ppl say tis and tat.. u'll feel the diff urself when u try.

in our scooter setup.. u gain some.. u lose some. unless u change to aftermarket block, then tat will be a diff story liow.

Bro, just service my Alantic 200 at Txxxxx today and change DR Pulley ones. After that running on the road can feel it more fast and steady. Give it a try, can feel the different.
