ANy field report on the MaxSym 400i ? I'm sure there're at least 2 to 3 bros here who took delivery of their Maxsym ....

I took my Maxsym 400 3weeks ago :)

so far i am very happy with the bike handling (Especially the cornering part! super stable @ 160mm tyre width), pickup (twist-and-u-see-its-70km/hrs-alrdy) and fc (24km/l)

The only thing i hate the most is the exhaust! Hopefully GPR will make one for us..lol

I cover because I don't want my seats to be scratch by the cats.

Must buy very big cover so as to warp completely or in a way there's no gaps for the cats to enter.

I don't mind they sleep on the seat and leave a lot of hair but please don't pee and step all over the seat with muddy feet.

Worst still, some even do stretching and scratching exercise on the seat!

In fact anything rubbery they can get their claws on.

last time on my sw, the cat happy happy scraatch my seat! Some more i just spend $90 to rewrap the seat! lucky 219 give me complementary re-change and axe oiled the seat

Correct me if im wrong.

I do believe that fuel injection uses lesser fuel compare to the carb ones.

As for the price,

Yes FI is more expensive coz of the electronics and the injection timing need to be adjusted or tuned using computer (only specialised motorshop like HKL or Unique can do this)

For Carb is more of a mechanical. Which means the control is based on the throttle cable pulling the carb and carb can be tuned using screw (Advantage of Carb for tuning purposes)

To say which one is better, my opinion is FI :) I am a fuel savvy guy :thumb:

If an efi machine performs normally, is there ever a need to adjust the injection timing?

The injection timing if for us, daily commuter, theres no need to touch the timing :)

Unless if u using your scoot for f1 racing..lol

Changed seat cover for my GTS200 yesterday at Aunty shop to brown color. Cost $60.00.

They wanted to up the price to $75 saying that brown costs more cos the material is different. Managed to get it back to $60.

Might be selling the GTS200 cos not using. Riding my other bike more. So if anyone wants a Dec 2015 Coe renewable GTS200, pm me to discuss. Better price than shop for sure.

Have yet to pump my bike's tires. Remember reading a post about someone finding difficulty pumping tires at a petrol station. Any real issue of concern here?

Main stand or side stand? Which to use more often and why? I almost always use the main stand cos it seems to be more stable.

For me ... side stand if the stop is just for a little while like making payment after fuelling up, running errands etc etc and main stand when the bike is parked for a long period of time ...

scoooter i use main stand cos bo bian if morning want to start warm up bike, side stand down engine cannot start.

For other bike which is not scooter for eg fazer or super4 i put side stand, be it parked overnite or short time. Reason why : cos able to start with side stand down unlike scooter.

Thirdly side stand easier lah no need awlay s push and pull bike when parked, save strength , i am a very lazy person de .

My odometer reading is now near to 300km -- time for first servicing. Do I just change engine and transmission oils or get the workshop to also perform all the various checks as recommended in the manual? Does any workshop really bother to do all those checks? Any places with a special packaging for such services? Pl help a noob.

Some shops do have a 5 or 6 or 7 point check. How many points exactly ... I'm not too sure. Personally IMO, it's how well you know the mechanic! When I sent my GTS to Mah Pte for the 300km servicing, they change OE, Transmission oil, blow clean air filter, wash the oil filter (Yes! the oil filter can be washed:)), check tire pressure and a few other stuff. I did not see "the other stuff" they did as I was busy in the showroom orgling at the while GL1800 !
