Save money, if COE around 2k still not worth renew.

I use to own a K6 a lot of money to repair n replace

Suzuki parts quite expensive. I paid $ 1800.00 for

Electronic parts n repair sound very ridiculous.

If 2k COE, I will grab it anytime... If really bike have problem, scrap and pro rate the COE rebate.

Bike just overhaul last year, seem a waste to let it go...

Furthermore, come with a handful of accessories...

Shall see, maybe go for a cheap wrap. Haha

Rear wheel clicking noise when moving

Hi guys, my 12yr old AN400K1 recently started to have a clicking/grinding noise which can be heard when moving at low speed with no acceleration.

It happened after a regular service at Guan Hoe. Brought it back to them to check but they can't find the problem (the Malay mechanic also hears the noise when he test rode it). They opened up the casing and checked. No sound when revving/spinning the rear wheel when it's on the main stand.

Now it's getting worst and louder...

Any others have experienced this and what was the issue?

Rear end ball bearing? How much to change this?

Need to change the rear wheel rim due to the spoke/hub issue? (I changed this once about 5yrs ago..)

Thanks :)

Did you recently change or adjusted your rear brakes? Try this, when moving at low speed and upon hearing the sound, try to lightly squeeze the rear brakes, lightly...

If the sound stopped and re-appear when you release the brakes, then perhaps the rear brake fixture is loose.

Try and then update us!

u meant guanhoe can hear the sound but cannot find the sound?

I would bring it to another good mech.

Yup, the young mechanic took it for a test ride around Autobay and heard the sound. They dismantled engine casing, remove the belt as well but can't find anything loose.

Tried, the sound still around. No, haven't change the rear brake pads although Uncle did take a look at it during servicing.

Googled aournd and someone in US had the same problem and people on that forum mentions it's the needle bearing (part 11)

Will give Guan Hoe a call today to ask about it and see how

Uncle at GuanHoe sometimes require some convincing that you REALLY want the sound to disappear.

I have a feeling he will say "it's OK, no problem, old bike like that one" hahaha.

No harm getting a second opinion from AC Motors @ kaki bukit area as well.

what's the latest pricing for the burgman 200 ABS? just saw on sgbikemart it's listed at $7,500. is that true? isn't COE quite high now?

also, are there any reliable secondhand ones around?

lastly, what are the common issues/problems with the burgman? specifically the 200 and 400 models. i'm not keen on the 650.

thanks in advance.
