Does anyone know how long does the magnetic coil and rectifier last on a 2000 model majesty? just changed mine not long ago, could it be a battery problem? its a big repair and i am thinking if its worth it. Just do not want to get ripped off. Cases where you have to change everything when its just a battery problem. thanks bros!

I got my smoked sport windscreen for my majesty400 from Hong Leong SC. Less than $200 brand new! For majesty250, I'm not sure? you can go there to check.

Less than $200 for a brand new original Yamaha good quality smoked sport screen is consider reasonable. I still remembered I paid $250 for a Givi windscreen for my road bike.

go for recoil cos can ask then to recoil the power a bit bigger when you signal your headlight wount dim

Hi everybody!! Need desperate help and advice..I just bought a 2nd hand Majesty 400 '09 on March 2011..The mileage when I bought was 959 miles..Note that it is in miles..Very nice condition when i bought..But now a problem arises.

Since the past 2 or 3 days, whenever I start the bike, I need to press ignition for 2 or 3 times, then d bike starts..N when I am riding on the expressway, the bike dies!! but only for a second and then it re-ignite automatically by itself..When I stop at the traffic light, the idling drops till the bike dies off..N sumtimes when I move off from the traffic light, it dies for a second and then re-ignite again.

I brought the bike to Sunshine Kallang, and the mechanic advised to change the spark plug or treat with fuel injector solution..I then changed to NGK spark iridium and also treated with STP fuel injector cleaner..But after all that, still facing the same prob..Please help and advice..I really hope I do not have to do any major repairs as I just only bought the bike..Help please

My 08 Majesty 400 encounter the same problem after the first servicing. Since the bike is still under warranty then, HL repaired for me free of charge. The faults lies with a damaged fuel pump! This is a very common fault with most of the new scooter, my previous scooter; Gilera runner 200VXR & Vespa 200GT also got the same problem after the first servicing! When I send my Runner to the agent for repair, they also said they have changed spark plug & maybe water had entered the fuel tank and even suspect me of using contaminated fuel but the problems still arise after repair!

After HL changed the damaged fuel pump of my current Majesty400, the problem is solved, and since then my Majesty has been problem free. I read from somewhere that somebody ever mentioned that the mechanic might have damaged the fuel pump during servicing? Maybe that is the reason why this problem always surface after the first servicing? I might be wrong! but I can't explain why this happened to my scooters 3 times!

The bike cost 10k otr..i find the parts very expensive when i asked from yamaha agent..they said its expensive coz its original yamaha parts and majesty model is rare in singapore thus thats why expensive..but i guess we still can look for other sources for the parts

Oh wow!!!U actually kinda assure me in my findings..I googled it and it appears to be happening all around other countries..evrywhr they are saying, its either the ECU or the fuel pump which i guess is the same rite? but since u say it happened to ur Gilera and Vespa, we cant fully blame Yamaha..dun wana spoil Yamaha's reputation coz i rili love Yamah bikes..Well i already called HL to make an appt..But mine is 2nd hand and they already checked its not under warranty..hope the repairs are not too costly..Hey tanx a million for ur input and advice..it puts my mind at ease..at least now i roughly know wats happening from urs and others experience..tanx!!

anyone has a used set of majesty's coverset? any colour will do. paintwork doesnt matter as long as no crack.

or how much will a whole set brand new cost?

Yeah, was considering the majesty 250 (4D9) back then but was very expensive then. Further more there's too much electronic control system, especially the gear change function, keyless once the electronic gives problems its not going to be economical ha ha. So i gave up the idea, but it's very beautiful as compared to 400 and majesty C. But Majesty C is a cult classic lah the japs are still modding and using it till now.

 

As of now Yamaha are concentrating on the european market with the X-Max, Asian market i think not going to make it, asian prefer the majesty type look and design IMO. Don't know why ang moh like those Aprilia Scarabeo kind of design ha ha maybe city very big and congested no time to relax and need to squeeze here and there and need to be nippy and yet look sharp i think. If you notice, those design that makes the rider sit up right and cannot stretch your legs from 300cc and below are trageted at the european market and that's where all the profits is i think. Of course there are also those like burgman taht ang moh like but that's another story as those are usually use for touring/interstate more. Even SYM have one model City Com 300 that is for the european market and so is Kymco People GTi300, also known as Shadow in taiwan and downtown .

ya and the xmax looks ugly..... in fact i was surprised that the 4D9 version they had mod till similar to the C models..... damn NICE!!!
