hi royal flush.........,i believe synman is using e malossi variator....

polini variator might work the same......

u planning to upgrades to these variator......?

Posted

yup norz. i plan on getting the malossi variator.

Just wanna know how it is comparing to the polini variator.

i think there's nothing much right. Maybe weight, durability or cost factor?

And also fellow majestians, for those using dr pulley's slider rolls.....

what are the weight u guys using?

Hi Royal Flush, won't be able to tell you about the Pollini as I've only tried it on my Piaggio X9 long time ago.

I guess they are suppose to work about the same.

But the weight of the rollers on the Malossi is 12g, which allows you to ride normally or accelerate if you need the sudden burst

while in motion.

If you are thinking of good acceleration, just get the Dr Pulley 14g which DocSu is using.

I dun think Dr Pulley works well on Malossi Variator.

Royal flush......i believe stock parts still e best n u can actually upgrades e clutch springs n torque springs to malossi kit springs..

Torque springs is to grip e belt tighter to prevent any slippage n clutch springs is to raise e rpm slightly higher n thus having stronger grip to e bell to lunch faster......

But best n easy mods u can do is change to Dr pulley sliders....

Go for 15grms as our stock is 15.....lesser grms will result in much higher rpm n u dowan to see e rpm screaming when ur cruising in highway......
