ho seh liao my bike like old liao. every now and then i open and close throttle i hear engine like wan to die pattern sound come out lol. any idea wats wrong?!

sounds like carb problem ... best case scenario

but by just saying like this, it could be anything:

Engine / Piston related

Spark plug

*Worst case scenario*

Do bring down to a shop to get it checked ba...

All the best and hope u get good news...

Cheers!

Question:

If the rims and swing arm are installed, wont it make the bike so much heavier, together with the front brake discs and maybe the fork?

How can this be a good thing for race purposes?

hmm...think my stock one can nose him to the finish line...wahahaha!!

reasonable analysis, how about a bigger "engine" to offset the additional weight?

Owner play corner often? Heard pple mention that "Drag" usually use narrower tyre width.

deltaboi made some configurations to ur engine? OR its pretty stock inside?

Thanks 4 sharing! :cheeky:

love to play corner?? stock rims will do just fine... upgrade ur suspension to a slightly better one... you dont want to exit a corner with no grip..

however, if owner like to have big chunky tyres by all means... suspension do play a part... although some may argue stock suspension is still up to standard... with all that weight just play with ur sproket size...

still not enough power... upgrade engine capicty.... big bore... stock engine u can do a little bit of tweeking to the engine.... to derestrict it...

bigger wheel base equals more grip more grip on straight road equal more petrol. more weight more power... more power more petrol....

bigger engine equals to BUBBLE TEA heheheh

just my 2cents... cheers

just to check with you, sports rim does add more weight to the bike compare to stock spoke rim?

I'm considering 80/90 (front) and 90/80 (rear) but not sure of the rim size to use. Deltaboi shared his experiences that some mechanics even resort to "force" the width of the swingarm so it accommodate the rim.

did you heard anyone use 100/70 on the rear, possible for stock swingarm?

Thanks for sharing once again... :cheeky:

Engine is stock in condition and it is gonna be until maybe i have to overhaul my bike...

the last time when i just used a SP carb inside, the fuel consumption is just dreadful. I noe if u want speed u need to make some sacrifices but that was just horrendous...but have to admit that the pick up and top speed arrives faster...

if i do make changes, will update u as well as a minor analysis about whether to do it or not k...

i think the max tyre for rear is 90/90 which i am using now. if use 100/70 i think will rub against your main stand.... cheers

yah, that's why eventually I gave up on the aftermarket CDI... it need to wor along with bigger carb, aftermarket exhaust for optimal performance eventually drinking fuel like water...

since sports rim add some weight to the bike, would you experience the bike "struggling"?

if custom made a small "box" at the front would it be better or just a basket?

sure sure thanks for sharing... will write if I have done anything for me side too

yeah man...do feel the bike is struggling...

then again, it boils down to the sprocket size that u r comfortable with..

if u go for pick-up, then it wun struggle with the initial gears but it will take a longer time reaching ur top speed and vice versa...

would not recommend baskets or boxes in front of the bike mainly coz x1-r was designed as the sport version of cubs and the cruiser version to be spark z...therefore it is not meant to put additional storage compartments...

it would damage the outlook of the bike as well as extra modifications that would result in additonal holes in the bike...

however so, it would be on ur own vision of how u 1 ur bike 2 be ... so happy thinking eh...

to clear sum issues or bros and sis facing.... bigger rim do add weight to the bike... so far biggest seen and installed b4 on x1-r is 2.25.... with 90/80 tyres... 100/70 can fit no problem... only prob it may hit ur fender... for the issue on swingarm being spread to fit the rims, use a thinner spacer....

may want to check with sum of the x1-r forumers after i deristricted their bike how their bike feel.... setting of carb and changing of jetting should do the trick... a trick for poorman bike... heeee

kasumi put in 62mm bore kit already??? top cylinder valve and spring u need to check with moto diam.....

deltaboi.... i think ur sp carb wrong jetting dats why like bubble tea..... but anywayz.... jus my 2cents....
