If you know how to replace,get from united implex at rowell road,is a spare part shop..if not just go to the shop and do.

FYI,it will cost 300% more if you go to any shop

Hi Tony, really quiet on this thread hor?

Anybody doing bike projects, meet ups or trips?

Attached some pics of my bike. Its a CG125 CDI 12v made in Japan registered in 1991.

Want to keep bike working for a long time. Need help to learn how to be hands-on DIY on this bike as I'm not a mechanic.

Used to fix my own bicycles following guidebooks, so hope to restore bit by bit when have money so it'll be worth my while to renew COE which ends 2011 Sept.

1. Get new seat

2. Repaint frame to keep it from rusting more

3. Repaint or change new tank as colour is fading, plus got deep scratch and dent

4. Hopefully learn to DIY strip and clean engine

5. Recondition front and rear shock absorbers

6. Change wheelset as spokes look rusty.

7. See if can figure out how add more luggage space or learn low to put more luggage on bike eg hard saddle bags, new rear box. front tray, basket or box, tank bag.

Gettin some kind of knocking or "tacking" soung when i just start and mov to 1st gear in my CG. Bike is fine otherwise. Just sprayed Selleys RP7 everywhere to delay rusting before I can do any restoration. Been riding at 80-100km/h on ECP or PIE on way to work. Cruising at 8-9 on the tachymeter. Wonder if its harmful to the engine?

Haha, anyone ride until speedometer needle break?

Just happened to me last night. Rode between 80-100km/h at ECP,

but dunno why needle keep jumping to 120km/h, stuck there. I slow down abit to let it move back up.

I tried picking up speed again, then suddenly my needle broke off! Think it jumped to 120kn/h mark again. Funny:D

Hey Bros, must go to GNG motor trading at Defu to fix is it?

needle break just change a new meter if you cannot live with it.

go to united implex @ rowell road to get a replacement

Hi Tony, like nobody interested already leh... No leader lah...

No meet ups. Just short kopi session to intro also can lah...

Thot cg125 was alive in SG... was wrong...

My bike now doing restoration at workshop. Hope will turn out well...

 

No more comaraderie or motor kakis to be found...

I just go bike shop pass bike to uncle mechanic and trust him.

He is my only motor kaki now talk about what to do with my bike.

No more dreams of DIY things myself.

Bernard-I do have weekly kopi session with my bikers friends.without fail at hougang.

Any make is welcome,even bicycles.

 

I ever tried to have a meet up(more than 5times) for cgrians but turn out was very poor.

 

How to get them?any suggestion?lol

 

Cg is a bike that's the owners will use it for weekend ride or project bikes or a bike to keep.

anyway, hi Bernard! Actually it's pretty good talking to ur mechanic about the bike since they're most knowledgeable. Have you got other friends who ride too?
