its jus a play of ur inklish language. revoke is suspension of more den 12mths. if 2 or 3 mth oso called suspension. technically there is no offence dat will revoke ur liscence, onli suspend ur liscence for more den 12mths. see hw they play?

good things come to those who wait

Again......*Sigh*

Suspension means a few months to probably expires your driving licence.

Revoke means immediate cancellation of your driving licence.

Both events means that the offender has to retake the driving licence, if the suspension is more then 12 months, or that revoke comes with a time limit that a person cannot apply to take his driving licence for a few years at least.

In the event that the suspension is only for 3 months, then the driver/rider can resume riding/driving when the suspension is over.

In the event of a revoke, depending on the situation of that revoke. A person has to retake all his/her classes of licence after the period that court states he cannot drive/ride. Eg is banned from driving/riding for 10 years or so.

In the event that its a overseas singaporean being away from Singapore for a long time, then his licence is expired (considering how we changed to the card type of licence, no longer the paper type, this is getting so much rarer.) and he need to try to convert a foreign licence to a Singapore Licence if he/she plans to drive in Singapore for more then 6 months.

You are not reading properly. Suspension of 12 months or more your licence will be revoked. Less than 12 months your licence will be returned to you after your suspension period is over.

Okay NOW I get your question. If disqualified under 1 year your licence will be returned to you after the disqualification period:

ROAD TRAFFIC ACT

Provisions as to disqualifications and suspensions

43. —(1) Where a person who is disqualified by virtue of a conviction or order under this Act is the holder of a driving licence, the licence shall —

(a) be suspended as long as the disqualification continues in force if he is disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for a period of less than one year; and

(b) be of no effect if he is disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for a period of one year or longer and he shall not drive a motor vehicle after the period of disqualification unless he passes the prescribed test of competence to drive.
