I find scooter quite easy to maintain.

First of all, no need to worry about lubing the chain.

Basically just follow the service interval according to the mileage on your scooter with the service manual.

Service interval will be like every 5000km, after your first 3 free service.

Your first 3 service should be free including material and labour by Motorsport, unlike other bike shop where the free service they meant is the labor only. Parts like oil and filter or material have to pay.

So after you collect bike just ride until 1000km (Example) go back to Motorsport to change oil and feedback any funny issue.

Then 3000km (example) then 5000km (example). Then thereafter every 5000km (Example).

Practically don't have to do anything between services, just ride only. Until you feel the bike feel funny then only do you go Motorsport.

Basic everyday checking will be like, Tire pressure (Use eye power) if tyre looks flat is a cause for concern like nails or leaky valve.

If tire looks ok then check like twice a month or depend on your mood. Low pressure will have higher fuel consumption. So if you feel the scoot like drinking more petrol than usual, you may want to check the tire pressure first.

Look for oil leak on floor, not that new bike have any. Just a precaution only.

Look for warning light that may come on. I got freak out once when my oil light came on (The Kettle logo). It usually means low oil pressure or loss oil. So i panic and quickly pull to the side to check my oil for leak. Eh no leak??? Finally called friend and told me its the time to change oil light. Wah lau change engine oil and low oil pressure light share the same light!!!

In all, just ride until the next service mileage.

Oh ya , basic like worn tires no need to wait until next service as you should know.

Simple, no headache at all.

I find motorcycle problem is the chain type and clutch cable. when over water puddle (Naked bike) shoes/boots jeans/pants always wet.

No big underseat storage space.

Scooter may have slightly higher cost in terms of labor because need to remove more parts as it is mostly covered.

Belt and rollers and u-shoes (Nevermind if you don't understand now, later you will) cost just slightly more than chain i was told.

Then again all other scooter are having the same kind of labour cost so no biggie. It's not as if you are riding a BMW. Ah that my friend the labour maybe the same but the parts won't.

Try it and you'll love the joy that scooter brings. Relax, go fast even if you don't have the mood. Motorcycle if you don't have the mood cannot ride fast as in need to change gear quickly if you know what i mean.

I still like scooter over motorcycle.

Hey there , been thinking if i wanna buy this bike.. Very exiciting..! Like as the model suggest.. hahah...

Anyways, i was thinking if i purchase this bike, do u guys think if i should install a top case..?

It might look ugly, to me. Is there any Tunnel bag or like the "tmax console bag" that can fit a helmet. I wish to bring along 2 helmets.

Thanks guys..

I took mattblack! Very happy with the bike. But cannot control the bike very well while the bike is stationary. My skill from manual bike became zer when it comes to scooter.

We should have a gathering soon!

I never install the box. Thought of putting some bags or other accessories to put another helmet. Anyone have any idea??

The tunnel on the xciting is too small for a helmet I think. Either you carry 1 helmet on the go or just install a top box. In my opinion, it looks sporty without topbox but it doesn't look too bad with a topbox either. So it boils down to either convenience for you or looks you decide.

hi guys i went to see the exciting 400i today , very nice

i have been riding a X9 for 3 yrs, loads of problems, costing me lots of money.

I need a bike to get around and was thinking of CB400, I hear its the most reliable bike, but I dont like the heat coming out from the front of

these bikes. So at the same time wondering if I should give the scooter 1 more chance.

your opinions are most welcome. tks

If the rumbling sound is coming from the left rear side of the scooter (besides the tire), that is normal. Because scooter CVT engine is loaded behind. That is the transmission.

If you pulled the bike hard, then the sound will be more rough and louder. An analogy is you pinched someone on the arm.

If you are using kymco bikes. Go back to motorsport.

I am using shad 48. Bought from Herbert for super good price. Has backrest somemore. Can put two flip up helmets somemore. Of course dont expect it to be the top notch quality type
