hi guys, check with you all normally for DT your rear suspension is on which number? if i wan make my seat lower i set to lower number? and normally used wat tools to adjust?

Posted

Suspension I usually put at 3 out of 5. Softest setting at 1, Hardest setting at 5.

Can use bare hand to adjust. Don't really need tool. Just need to use force and strength; Push up the suspension from the bottom and turn.

Pillion will need to stand up first, swing leg over either side, then come down. Can't just try to swing leg over while seated. It may sprain your thigh muscle. Haha. I tried it once that's why I know. Haha.

SGGH on page 48 of this thread, parotae had posted the link before.

Hi guys, jus got my bike jus now . First ride on it, the throttle like not react fast snuff. ard 5k RPM my speed only maintaining at 60kph, (is it norm for new bike)? when i pillion, the pillion feet like hitting my leg. and the height is it can adjust? as for DT 300 i also need to tip toe not like the one i tried before purchasing. when squeezing thru traffic i still not zhai enuff. sometime my handle bar will turn n nearly hit cars.

Hi guys, newbie here. I was planning to take my 2A to purchase the Xciting 400i but due to work commitments, I'm having a really hard time attending the 2A classes. Thus, am considering the DT 200i for my daily commute to work which technically should be more than sufficient. Usually I ride the honda wave occasionally but considering a scooter for storage space and frankly the new Kymcos look great :D

Just want to ask if the DT 200i is a good choice or should I stick to my plans and get my 2A for the Xciting? Stability? Safety factors? Most people would say a 2A is safer than a 2B bike due to its more robust build.

Uses are for daily commute to work and perhaps weekend shopping. Maybe an occasional trip across the causeway?

Heard from MS that the IU has to be installed direct to battery is due to requirements from LTA.

Not necessary. My other bikes had been wired to the ignition. So when I turn off the iu will be off too...

I saw downtown at a workshop. it looks super awesome. truth. but being a 200cc is good budget, but 400cc definitely has braking and power in it.

Thanks for the input. I will head down to ubi and see what they recommend :) I'm a bit on the tall side at 179cm. I guess the legroom might be a bit of an issue. Will see how it goes :D

Any idea where to get kymco's service manual?

I believe you've found it and posted over at the 200 side. Good site you've found.

1 more qns, how to i see from the outlook my bike is 300cc. as the body only got downtown.

If taken out the 300/200 emblem, no way to tell.

I put it on 4 (The best with or without pillion) Full load luggage at 5.

1 more noob qns. how to pillion come down from DT. my wife seem to have difficulty on it

Need to demostrate first hand. Hard to describe. You can check out youtube.

Guys check with you all, normally ard which RPM ur bike will moved off? i need to throttle till ard 3.5k to 4k den the bike start to move.

Mine move off about 2800rpm - 3000rpm.

200cc maybe slight difference due to slightly less torque to move off hence to counter with higher rpm. 125 move off even higher, i think about 5000rpm.

Is there anyway to combine the Kymco Downtown thread to 125/200/300?

Make it seems like "Downtown 200" thread like a special group. Some who have the 200cc don't even want to go 125/300 to post question and go to kymco 200 thread to post instead :p

Personally i find 125cc 200cc 300cc are all the same model just different cc. Engine question should be roughly the same cause sharing the same chassis. I don't see the need to post in the appropriate cc class.

MS will say no need, until maybe 5000km then change oil filter. They will say oil still very clean. Please confirm with them as i can't remember clearly.

I didn't go back for any service after the first one.

I change oil after run in about 200km and oil filter.

Up to individual. No harm to the rest of the scoot sticking to recommended interval.

Just a suggestion...

Do search for "Kymco Sg" in facebook and give us a "Like"

Good idea, I have already been on a few KYMCO trips. It's just that many do not know of such trips. So "Yes" to a Kymco thread. :thumb:

Is all Kymco with retractable mirrors? HAHA! I have a pair of funny mirrors, they love to retract like immediately I press but takes a while to extend (5mins-15mins depending).
