hi guys, can you guys kindly advice me how much $$ should i set aside to get a 1st hand/2nd hand kymco dt200i? getting fed up with my 125z, wanted to ride it for 1 more yr before COE up but i just got caught for emitting white smoke. damn sian already, past year alot of problems. so just checking my options for now.

so far i went to as phoon to enquire on sym gts200, was quoted about 8.2k inclusive of insurance which i think is pretty ex. salesman told me insurance is 800+ but i checked on directasia and mine should only be 200 - 300. could be because installment needs 2nd party insurance. anyway machine price with COE quoted to me was abt 7k.

will be looking to full cash with a loan from parents first. how much would a 1st hand/2nd hand kymco dt200i set me back by?

THANKS! :)

Last heard the 200 is 10k+ otr? I cud b wrong tho... why dun u give MS a call? Look for wong and he'll b able to assist u...

Hi bros, I've been reading posts from this thread for a while. Do u think this scoot is really worth buying, considering the price for a 2B scoot. No offence to anybody please... I'm researching and shopping for my scoot too.

Not feeling offended if you say/ask properly yo. End of the day, you are the one paying the money. Your money must make you happy.

Hi bro parotae, maybe I should have rephrased my previous post. I've actually wanted to seek opinions and experience thus far for ownership for a DT200i. :p

Peace!

Can't say anything about 200. I got the 300. Should be the same though.

So far I am enjoying it very much. Just not enough speed at 140km/h hee hee.

There are many other option, please check them all to suit your preference. Try them all if you can.

Then we can compare what you have chosen and discuss the pros and cons.

All I can say is that the DT200i is reliable. So far no one has got major issues with it till today..

MS warranty the bike for 1yr without looking at mileage.

A lady rider has rode up to Thailand with it at full speed and the bike is still going strong.

Just sharing..

Those 3 scoot can be found in this forum.

I believed you read some of the comment.

In my opinion they are about the same.

For Cygnus Z and PCX they are smaller and nimble in heavy traffic.

Cygnus is good for fuel 40km/L 125cc. Floor area good for carrying bulky items like carton of drinks that can place on the flat floor board.

PCX150

Good fuel consumption too (can't remember) about 45km/L?

Honda should be very reliable although made in Thailand.

As i have no experience with those 2 above, i shall leave others to comment.

As for DT2

Under seat can store 2 helmets, front helmet section can only accommodate certain helmet. My very large HJC flip up can fit infront but not my M size shoei open face. Back can fit any helmet.

kymco-downtown-300i_22_4.jpg

Fuel consumption for 300 is about 27km/L to 30km/L for newer models.

200 should be about there.

As for size. It's big and longer. Power wise is should be adequate. 125cc DT already can pull the weight.

As i have mention before about squeezing between cars in heavy traffic, the only bike i can't beat squeezing is kup chai. If any other bike can squeeze, DT can too.

When it comes to up north (Malaysia and Thailand) then DT will be a better choice for comfort.

Joining the Kymco family brings you lots of up north trips if you don't already have touring friends.

Ok, just realized the question you are asking.

So you are seeking the opinion and experience of DT2 owners owning a DT2. Ok ok hee hee.
