Whoa! I think the Dr. Pulley clutch system will make your DT300i's fly!!

I bet it'll be more responsive, but it may hurt with the fuel bills though.....

Oh, I don't know, but my DT125i is kinda vibrating more noticeably while stationary.

Just a few weeks back, it didn't have such problems, or rather, the vibration was hardly noticeable.

I ask the mechanic, he says it's normal. I was like, Hmm......

Is this the vibration issue that you're talking about as well??

I guess it's pretty much confirmed that my set of Metzeler tires are making the DT125i drink more fuel.

From 35.5km/L drop to 32km/L.....

Haha.

But it's still a price worth paying. For those who find the Maxxis tires ok, try Metzeler the next time round and you'll be amazed.

The clutch don't hurt the fuel if the torque spring is not change.

The clutch only engage the drive. Once above 3000-4000rpm lock on already, so not related to fuel consumption unless it slips.

Metz tyre really good I guess, softer so more contact patch to the road so more rolling resistance to roll so higher fuel consumption. 10liters you lose 35km so = $2 loss ha ha.

The vibration issue that me and synman have is not the sationary idling but rather the moving off during biting point.

It is a stuttering thing on top of just being vibration. Like the whole bike will stutter when you try to move off.

Though i change to a brand new LEA7 clutch system, the same problem is starting to surface again.

Hey bro Parotae, are u still using the test clutch pads?

Yes still using. I haven't rode for 11 days. Spray painting. I ask boss to take his time ha ha.

Yup the clutch I'm using it seems is an LEA7 weight because I realize the engagement is 3000rpm unlike LGE5 at 2800rpm. Only 200rpm. Not much difference.

I did it at my Kymco agent MotorSport.

Quoted $200+ excluding other parts.

Not final as estimate only. Hope not $500 ha ha.

I spray only about 70% excluding side panel/fairing and front mud guard.

+1

My understanding is that it may actually improve FC as there will be less slippage (so I hope :)).

The slippage is minimal for the original clutch, otherwise we would have smoke coming out from the transmission casing and a bell that turned blue indicating excessive heat due to slippage. Generally, slip happens when accelerating hard or a low speed up slope like 4000rpm where the clutch do not have enough centrifugal force to throw the clutch weight outwards to engage the bell firmly.

Don't need 5W-50 right? How often does the temp here even reach anywhere near sub 20 deg celcius? Haha!

Actually, my DT125i is the first DT125 that MS serviced. Haha.

That was what the mechanic there said.

Anyways, the mileage is now 3973km. Should be changing my first two bottles of engine oil by the end of this week.
