The empty space in the front part of the underseat? Haha. I don't know what use that'll be.

That's where I store my set of raincoat though.

I could fit in a small projector bag the last time I was carrying one around.

Saw a Goldwing squeeze in between cars like Xiao.

Ridden by guy in mid-twenties.

Crazy, but pretty amusing as well.

Hi guys,

I am back from my holiday in South America. Had the Dr. Pulley clutch fitted earlier today and the malossi bell will be fitted tomorrow.

From the garage to my house the sensations were very positive. I will try to get more mileage under my belt to give you a better insight.

I had the E000 fitted but the results are not that favorable. First of all after I fitted the E000 the engine can't start. Have to crank numerous times. I swap to the old and it started. I swap it back with the E000 and then it started fine but idle at 1300rpm. Noticeable more vibration. The knock sensor adjusted it to 1500rpm after a while, gave it a little gas and it drop to 1300rpm. As I blip the throttle the engine suddenly gave a loud and hard mechanical "POP"! and it stall. Sounds like the engine went in the reverse direction due to different mapping of E000.

Power loss zone are reduce to the minimal, way better than E500 but furl consumption when up at 23km/l instead of my usual 25km/l.

Power band are now very linear as compare to E500 flat spot zone between 40km/h to 60km/h.

It seems pick up is about the same from 30km/h to 100km/h between the E500 and E000 as I have estimated at about 9seconds.

Thanks and do keep us updated Juanpauk :D

Engine stalling seems to be a problem with the DT125i after 30,000km as well.

Seems like it has something to do with the belt, and "dusty" clutch and variator.

The MyRoad 700i that I saw at MS also had the problem of the clutch making loud screeching noises when it freewheels.

Mechanics just clear the super dusty clutch and variator..... Hope that it'll solve the problem.

My Downtown don't have stalling problems. It's fine so far with the stock condition.

I change to a different ECU thus ECU used are not calibrated to my current spec.

I am testing the out come by trial and error.

My scoot so far with the original ECU always 1 crank start with no stalling at all so far up till now.

Except the testing ECU I am trying which occur rarley also. I have to be careful not to blip the throttle when the rpm is below the recommended 1500rpm.

After a week of testing, it's running fine now except this morning have to crank a 2nd time to start.

The stalling issue you mention are not related at all to dirty tramission components. It's like saying dirty rims cause the Tyres to lose grip and air pressure ha ha :p

I don't know.

But rmb that guy I said had 36,000 km on his DT125i?

He had experience some stalling before, until the mechanics cleaned the inside. So far, still ok. Haha.

Come to think of it, the possibility of engine stalling could be but not limited to...

Sensors - knock, O2, throttle, air flow, cranck...etc

Spark plug

Dirty injector

Throttle

Need resetting

Dirty air filter

are just a few of the examples

Ha ha like this anyone also can anyhow guess lol.

The cleaning is part of the service and stalling need to check with a computer hand held device.

The stalling issue may have been corrected with the computer diagnostic device without the knowledge of the owner.

Anything electronic and especially fuel injection systems and adjustment/correction/settings can only be done through computer diagnostic equipment unless the problem is physically related to parts like air filter, air hoses, spark plug...etc which can not be pick up electronically by the ECU.

Ahh.

Ok.

I wonder if my DT's internals are dirty [i.e. Clutch and variators].

The mileage is now 5300km.

Do your know of any place where they sell handguard for DT? I know MS has them, but at $250, it's kinda heavy on my wallet.

The handguard does make the DT look more purposeful and aggressive, plus these days with so many road works, small pebbles, sand, wood, leaves get swept in the way of my fingers. It's hurting. Haha.

I may pop down LAB tmr to check it out.

Showroom unit should be arriving in June, with actual shipment thereafter.

Till now, I don't think even the GD 300i has started shipment. Haha.

I've been seeing so many SYM GTS200 on the road. Haha.

Unfortunately, the DT don't have a 170-198cc version.... If have, that'll be super great, and no doubt a huge seller too.

The only time the DT125i is lacking in power is going up hills. Other than that, it's faster off-the-line than many cars, super stable [gotta check tire pressures on that], super practical [plentiful of underseat storage, though the GTS trumps on that without the protuding hump in the front], and is huge on style.

The more I look at the DT, the more I love it!!

I am sorry to hear that Parotae. Can't beleive the problem persists :(

The bell did fit perfectly but now I can hear a slight noise when the clutch touches the bell, I am guessing the new clutch was getting the shape of the old bell and needs a bit of time to settle properly, I will give it a bit more time before drawing any conclusions. However I can feel the better grip from the clutch.

Ha ha ding dong bell sound something like that.

The problem is more or less solved with the E000, meaning the flat spot is gone(i just realize this today after i swapped back the E500)only it's still a tad slow before 60km/h. The E500 was noticeably flat like there was no speed increase for 1 sec at a certain speed during pickup when i WOT from stationary.

Reason for swapping back as i can feel that something just ain't right. I can smell the exhaust funny, the higher fuel consumption and the way it almost didn't want to start.

I read in the Spanish forum that some have good and bad results with the E000 and some claimed that the newer batch E500 might be better.

I shall see if i can request for newer model of E500.

Looking forward to your review on your Malossi bell :D

I tried fitting my XL sized Full Face helmet in the underseat storage of the Xciting.

Can what. Still have extra space for a pair of gloves and raincoat. Obviously, it can't fit 1 full face and 1 half face, with gloves and raincoat like in the DT, but still, not as bad as what you are experiencing???

Somethingis wrong with me....lol

I'll change my brakes come the next servicing or two. Haha.

But I installed handguard -> $200 =(

Currently, there're 5 MyRoad on the road. Hope the membership gets bigger!

And I'm seeing more and more DT300i kenna accident in MS workshop. DT125i doesn't seem to be selling off the shelves.

In this sense, GTS200 is the much better seller.
