I have already change to CR7EIX earlier.

Same flat response. In my case it's from 40km/h to 60km/h before 6000rpm.

After 60km/h and above 6000rpm power kicks in va va vrooooom!

Actually, the hand guard makes the DT look more toot. Haha!

I just buy it to protect me hands from dirt and things that may be flung to my fingers.

I've noticed the brake lever has been scratched and oxidized a little thanks to all the small dirt, sand, leaves, twigs being flung to them.

I came across this pic on the net about rusty fuel filler mouth and remembered that mine started to rust too. Will try to remember to put some rubber grease so the rust won't spred and won't spoil the fuel cap rubber seal.

Not my pic on the rust but it's the same thing anyhow

Hmmmm...200 for that pair of handguard without led is rather pricey. Its universal type actually. Not specially for kymco. I had the similar pair with leds from hatyai.

How's your accessories for your MyRoad 700i? Should be fixed up by yesterday right? Haha. I hear from the mechanic that you parked your bike at MS cos you're fixing up quite a few accessories??

I vaguely remember that there's a way to de-oxidize metals.

But that requires the whole metal to be submerged into a salt-solution I think, and under heat.

Haha.

Wonder how it'll work for rust on the fuel tank lip/ opening.....

But not to worry.

The engine can still run without issues even if it's vibrating more and sounds coarser and not as powerful off the line.

These are tell tale signs that the next engine oil change is coming.

CVT's are pretty sensitive to all these. My dad's previous Toyota CVT also has these problems.

Should be normal, change your oil and filter soon. Most Scoot are like this at first very little vibration then later more vibration and rougher. Mine just change half the oil as I'm left with 700cc of oil. I just drain out half and put in another half of the left over mineral oil. It's no difference in the beginning after changing oil, now it's smoother.

Ok guys I going to malaaca on 29th shld I change eo before going? Btw anyone wanna follow me hehehe

Btw guys... I found an awesome way to attach my gps..i load pics soon... Will not fly off and I am in midst of doing a waterproof cover for it too

If you can wait. Go for ebay. I buy most of my things from ebay. Save significantly amount of monies. Called up yesterday. Hasnt done yet. By today, it shld be done. Ya. Fixing up some stuffs on it. Essential for touring purpose.

Two way Melaka trip is around 500km. Do the ride only after you completed ur run in with mineral oil. Mineral oil is not meant for touring. As your bike is 125cc, I highly dont recommended you to do it. Should you really need to go. At least change to semi syn EO. Anyway i maybe able to go with you. But we gonna leave real early since travelling speed is 90-100km (max)

If you haven't change oil yet after te run in. Change oil and oil filter first. 1 time early change only.

Doremi don't recommend using mineral to tour but I beg to differ only because bambino is still running in his X. Continue to use mineral for malacca trip, use the correct viscosity for your engine. After you come back can switch to synthetic already :)

The malacca trip will be your final run-in(the last 20%) instead of the normal city run-in for 2000km.

So yes, come back then use or follow Doremi use semi syn :)

Remember to upload your GPS mounting technique.

sorry guys for the bad quality of the pics..taken from my hp... ok there is one process i didnt take photos... that is the making of the acrylic base. its pretty straight forward but i will just run thru just incase coz its never too much info...

what you'll need:

scissors

paper

cardboard optional

pen

acrylic. thickness is up to you but i like to work with thinner ones for this project due to flexibility

2 long strong cable ties not too thick must be flexible

ok first i got my hands abit dirty...literally

i took a piece of paper and placed it on the top of the erp. and used my dirty hands to go along the corners of the iu.

you will see a visible mark on the paper..

cut the ouline and if possible transfer to a cardboard if u have one piece lying ard...

now this will be your template... the reason y i did it with the paper coz it will be easier to work with when getting the outline.

now to transfer to the acrylic cardboard will be easier bcoz of thickness.

cut out the outline with saw, dremel whatever u can find.. u can even use a hobby cutter cut in a few mm then use pliers to break off and sand paper.. this is the quickest way

i made 2 pieces and stuck them together for stability.

use GOOD TAPE for bonding i used 3m clear tape...sticks very well...

mounted on iu.. i stuck the acrylic piece after the hinge for the cover but its really up to u if u wanna make a whole piece thn u gotta make slots for the hinges..

Now if u think this is too much hassle.. thn just buy a piece of acrylic or go to those signboard shops in ubi or where ever and u can get it for free..but it might be some weird colour i guess? cut it to size or just leave it if u have a rectangular shape and wanna save the hassle..

but u must use decent tape la..

now i mounted in such a way that the suction tab is facing left/right i will slot 2cable ties and zip it up... just in case.. ( this step is not shown in pic.)

any questions or if u have a revised idea place let me know:) we can discuss over kopi :)

Whoa!

You actually mount the GPS on the IU!?!?

DT IU located in between the windshield, so too bad, cannot mount it on the IU.

But can try mounting on the windshield itself, like those car ones.

I know Doremi mounts the GPS on the handle bar.

There are many school of taught ranging from running in down to type of eo used. There is no right and wrong.

Anyway 95% of Singaporean doesnt use their vehicles long enough till its unusable. Or rather when the bike starts to give problem, change bike.
