About wind blast, by right, the wide profile of the DT/ Xciting should be able to shield our legs from windblast.

However, the drag is increased as compared to a normal street bike for example. It's like taking a huge wooden board on the wider area and throwing it through the air compared to the thinner side.

There's more wake region after the front fairings, which gives it more turbulent airflow. That's why our shirt don't flap from front to rear, but rather from rear to front. Haha!

Most bike however, have our shirt flap from front to rear, so it's a more streamlined airflow.

You see the GoldWing for example. The rider's legs are placed almost directly behind the fairings, so not much flapping occurs. But for scooters, there's a rather huge gap between the front fairing and our legs. That's where the turbulent air flows.

More wake results in more pressure drag =(

This is how it look like after all the cutting and stone grinding.

Took it off just now to put some home made spacer from old oil bottle to cover the gap between grip and light switch holder.

Somehow I feel the DT300 doesn't go at the speed indicated on the speedometer.

When I travel at 90km/h, feels kind of slow..... :p

Even when at 130km/h, it still doesn't feel like it.

Anyone with the same feeling?

Same for the DT125i. Well, it's actually cos the bike is very stable at speeds. Hence as a rider, we don't feel a thing.

But you're going fast. See how you overtake all the slower traffic??

I found this on the Spanish forum, maybe some of you knew how to reset the fuel injection system (very handy when the bike doesn't want to start)

Please pay attention to the note that say if the bike is showing an error is best to get it checked by a professional rather than resetting the system.

Another interesting fact that I've learnt is that is recommended to switch off the engine by turning the key rather than using the emergency red button (as the name says use it only for emergencies).

For the last few months I got used to use the red button to stop the engine every time I needed to and today my bike stopped twice on the way from home to work, hopefully this is the reason why it happened.

Open the throttle fully for 10secs is only when the bike don't wanna start right?

Or else, it'll create quite a din. Haha.

The one juanpauk posted is for resetting the error code.

Note it only ask you to turn on (not start) wait for 10sec, then open full throttle for another 10secs

To reset injection follow this.

Ok. Now I'm curious on the windscreen.

From GIVI website, it states specific windshields. Does that strictly mean it'll only fit on the specified models only?

There's one for the DownTown.

Personally, I've seen one AirFlow fitted on the Silverwing. Looks pretty cool, but pretty bulky as well.

You might want to spray some contact cleaner at that area. My hazard light wasn't working well until I have spray the

cleaner.

Now not giving me any problems.

Would a Kappa 53L box look super huge on the Xciting?

Haha.

It looks balanced on the SW, which is a much larger scooter.

Get a huge box lah [above 50L kind].

The base Shad 40i box MS gave is ridiculously small. That's why I change to SH45i, which is noticeably longer, due to my budget constrains. Or else I'd have changed to something larger than 50L already. Haha!

Side panniers look ridiculous! Scooters already have underseat storage!
