i believe this shop is more commonly known as Gopa (means 500 in hokkien). although is very recommended by many bikers or ST11 riders. But personally, i gave up on him a few yrs back. i dun wanna bad mouth him. U can try how good is he, just see how is he like urself. Coz i believe different people haf different experience, and mine exp with him is not that nice. wun be goin to his shop again.

so here.. got some bad experience with this shop after my st11 come out from his shop...

Let me balance this thread a little....

 

My bikes, from class 2B to present bike, have always been serviced by him.

 

I think he is very dedicated to a job, although he may not have the best of EQ or PR skills, and his services certainly don't come cheap. However, he never ask me to spend more than what is absolutely necessary. If a part ain't due for replacement, he won't insist on replacing.

 

He only recommends the best tyres, brake pads, lubricant etc.... they are not cheap, but are value for money, and he never compromise on safety. He gets affected when his customer have an accident, so he never allow his customers to compromise their own safety just so that he can close a sale. We have all seen a death too many.

 

Sometimes, he gets frustrated, when he see people trying to save on critical things like tyres and brake pads.

 

Well, different people different opinion.

I have been going to him since my class2b. He has serviced my Phantom, DRZ400, Super4 and Tiger.

 

As Whyh stated, he does not stint on parts that are for safety such as brake pads and tires. I find his prices reasonable and he has never recommended unnecessary spare parts. In fact sometimes he 'scolded' me for ordering 'pointless" performance enhancing parts from US/UK What is Hokkien phrase for "Someone with hole in pocket"?

 

He is the type who will say no to dynojetting your carbs but he will agree with you when you want a good tire like Diablo Corsa. So those who want to mod bikes for higher performance may want to go elsewhere.

 

Though I don't speak a word of Chinese, I usually chat with him for 20 mins or so in a mixture of English, Malay and Hokkien (of which I understand only the coarser aspect!). Pretty friendly guy once you get to now him.

 

I guess some ppl may not agree with his style but I trust him to get my bike in safe running condition.

 

The only problem I have with him is his liking for Japanese bikes, especially Hondas and particularly ST11!

Now thats a balance here at last. He is ok. Went there to change my front fork and do a flushing of collent last month or so. Fork i have n o problem but the collent is like brown in colour. Was wondering what collent he used. That aside when i ask for a reciept of what he bought. He told me next time he give me. Diao.... How i know if the fork and collent is original anyway. So i do recommend this place only when u are free to be around to see him work. The rest that require u to leave there MAKE SURE U KNOW WHAT HE DO>

He likes to use this Mercedes coolant which I believe is orange in colour.

if its neither the price nor the receipts nor the repair problem then i personally thinks that if u really haf a problem u shld juz go down his shop n tell him instead of shooting him in the back bcoz till nw u still unable to voice out ur problem which no one knows .n its nt appropriate to say that he escape fr tax as this could really piss ppl off especially when u post in forum.that is wat GOPA thinks.so chinu u thinks its appropriate to say abt the tax problem in the forum?try putting urself in ppl shoe n think?if someone actually announce in forum tat u siam govt tax hw would u feel?especially u r a businessman

COol down lah bros. ITs just a forum to post ur view on the workshop not to kill each other here. I went there myself still but the reciept is true he din give. Maybe he lost it or whatever who knows but his workmanship is ok. ONLY IS THAT if u are very familiar with him liao he will take his time. I ASK HIM FOR PRICING ON MAIN STAND
